"PlaceSettings.com is really easy to order from -- but once they take your money, the ease ends. I was billed immediately for my $492 order on December 22, 2007. When my order never came and I could not get ahold of PlaceSettings.com via email or phone. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the next day I got my first email from PlaceSettings.com. I was told that my order was cancelled and that I would receive a full refund. When I periodically wrote to see when I would get my refund, I got generic responses like, "Let me check with the refunds department and I'll get right back to you." Then the responses stopped coming.

Now it has been three months since I placed my order and I still have nothing to show for it; no product, no refund. PlaceSettings.com is flat out ignoring me now and they will not respond to me no matter what I do.

If you want to buy something from this company, do yourself a favor. Donate the money you would have spent to charity instead because at least you'll get the satisfaction of knowing your money went to someone who deserved it."

"After trying to work with this Charlotte, NC store for over 3 months and getting the run-around, I found their phones disconnected but the web-site still up and running! I filed a fraud claim with my credit card company when my call would not go through. I had already tried dealing with them to resolve the issue (order never arrived) and going through the BBB. I e-mailed, they answered a few of the e-mails at first, but none lately. I waited 7 weeks for my order before asking questions. I will be gun-shy of unknown sites from now on. They should be put out of business for their unsavoory business practices."
