"I bought an AquaC Remora protein skimmer.

I've had this running for 3 1/2 weeks and it doesn't pick up anything.

The product did not work as described. I have contacted both the manufacturer and seller and they were not able to resolve the problem through troubleshooting. The product is supposed to remove waste from my aquarium. Although it appears to be running properly, it is not removing waste AT ALL. Seller would not give a refund or exchange for either the same product or another more expensive protein skimmer unless I could ensure that the manufacturer would reimburse them. That is not my responsibility. They sold a product that does not perform as described and they should provide sufficient customer service to stand behind what they sell, especially when the product is defective. Whether the product itself is bad or is not compatible with my system also should not matter if there was no information was provided indicated that it would not work with all systems. I do not believe that this is a compatability issue (it is a substandard product issue) but I wanted to mention that even it was, that should not be a reason.
