Did NOT Pay out a Legitimate Claim To Us

"All our appliances, 2 phones, furnace, 2 TVs, microwave etc. were electrically fried. We filed a claim, got a claim #, and put all the items in a pile for him to come and see. He said, "I'm not coming there." That was a shock to me! The PECO settlement guy was obnoxious, unpleasant, and agitated that I would want restitution.

Every request he made, I complied with but nothing was ever good enough, he always came up with another hurdle! First he said "we only pay out a max of $500 cuz that's the ded. on Homeowners Ins." We don't have that insurance, and I told him we didn't! Didn't matter at all to him.

Finally he said "Give me the receipts for all your appliances when you bought them new." WTH? I don't know where those are. My husband and I both spoke with him a number of times, to no avail. They accepted responsibility, but all these items had to be repurchased out of our pocket.

It was quite obvious his "job" is preventing payment of restitution for a legitimate claim. We never received a dime from PECO Claims Dept. ; nor a letter of apology nor a letter that our claim had been settled, dismissed or any letter/notification at all. We have been very angry and frustrated all these years about this, yet we ALWAYS pay our bill to them on time every month.

This company is disloyal, and there is ZERO accountability!
