"Ordered an SRP315 (Seiko Orange Monster) from Pass The Watch last week, and it arrived in Saturday's mail (shipped Priority USPS) Shipping from time of order to arrival was quick. The Watch arrived in excellent condition and was packaged well. I looked the watch over closely as I'm accustomed to doing. Came to me w/o any flaws. After unscrewing the crown I wound it thoroughly, set the day and date and wrote down the time I synced with the atomic clock. After 24 hours it is running at -4s/day, worn on the wrist. I'm quite satisfied with it's time keeping abilities. This is my 7th? Seiko dive watch, 3rd with the 4R36 movement. What can I say, I like Seiko Divers=:-)
It's a very purposeful and robust looking watch. I removed the OEM silicone dive strap and am wearing it on a 20mm Phoenix NATO. Weight of the watch and band is coming in at 98 grams, light compared to most of my other dive watches so extremely easy to wear day in and day out, and how I wear my watches, preferring to be able to see what time it is at a moment's notice
This is the first dive watch I've owned with both a black dial and a black background for the day/date complication. If I had to list a gripe, it might be that it is hard to see the white day/date numbers and letters against the black back ground, even while I wear reading glasses. Truth be told, many of my Seiko divers have either a date or a day/date function, and all would benefit from a magnifying cyclops, so I'll call the black background day/date wheel gripe, a draw, since if I use the mini flash light I always carry with me in my shirt pocket to view the day date, I am able to read them, all of the day/date complications I have, better than w/o additional light. I am 60 years of age and aging eyesight comes into play here as well
