"I purchased a top of the range laptop with water cooling, so a significant spend. I'm very pleased with the end unit and with the updates I received during its production, keeping me informed of is progress through the build and testing phases.

I wasn't certain how valuable the water-cooling option would be, but have found it very effective when running intensive processes such as video rendering and image generation using stable diffusion. While running these activities I have monitored the CPU and GPU temperatures and they both run significantly cooler while the water-cooling is active, with the added bonus that the PC fans are much quieter. The water-cooling unit does have its own fan, but this is relatively quite in comparison with the PC ones running at full speed.

Disconnection of the water-cooling unit is easy as it attaches magnetically (an update from the documentation on the web site). The PC does need to drained (an easy task that only takes seconds), when run without it. The unit runs using distilled water, but water loss is minimal when removed (my guess is only around a teaspoon). The unit was supplied with 500ml of water and it only takes around 250ml to fill it, so at that rate the supplied water will last me a very long time."

"I ordered a new PC as my kids had poured a can of coke onto my old PC a 12 year old PC Specialist build, which until the coke was still serving me well(apart from an abnormally long start up time now). I eagerly followed the steps trying to work out when I would get my new PC as it was hard surviving without one.

Early stages it looked like I would be waiting a while, I think it was 4 days until it even got into build, but then everything raced through and before I knew it I had a tracking reference.

It arrived and i quickly and easily assembled it into my current screen set up and now I absolutely love it.

The worst thing is the annoyance with how much of a hassle it is making games work on Epic games, since it's a new PC, but that is an issue with Epic Games and not PC Specialist :)

Overall, I got what I wanted and needed and in a great time turnaround, so overall i am very happy.

Overall, I am very pleased with the PC and its performance.

A couple of very minor issues are hardly worth mentioning (but I will anyway). One expansion slot screw had been overtightened and had stripped the thread in the case (easily fixed with a suitable nut) and the AIO fluid pump had a bit of a whine (easily fixed by adjusting the pump speed setting).

I chose PC Specialist, based on my daughter’s recommendation of her great experience with them.

Picking the specs for my pc was remarkably easy and there was an option to save your spec, which was fantastic. I did take advantage of this and revised my ultimate pc a few times over the coming days until I was happy with the final spec, then I ordered.

I noticed that I’d made a minor mistake with the RAM so called a day later and the they efficiency amended my order which only cost me £6 to change config from 1x32gb to 2x16gb

My order was built, I received a 360 degree photo of the initial build. Later I received a notification that the build was complete and that it would be shipped the next day.

I received the pc exactly a week to the day that I had ordered it. It was professionally completed and I am extremely happy with it.

My experience with PC Specialist was a fantastic one. I have very rarely experienced such a complete and well thought out ordering system, where there were no hitches.


The only negative I would state is that the ‘puck and mix’ of components is limited to specific hardware, not every processor or every graphics card is available. For example if wanted a 3060TI, instead of a 3060, I would be out of luck. However this is minor in no way affected me.

Now that I have used the PC for the last couple of weeks on my preowned 75 Hz monitor the performance and refresh rate is great. When I upgrade my monitor I may notice even more improvements.
