I would rate OsoGrandeKnives less than honest or reliable.…

"I would rate OsoGrandeKnives less than a one if I could. I ordered an Emerson Mini CQC and received a deflective knife which I returned in accordance with this vendors instructions. I has been 3 months and I have not received a refund. Numerous calls and emails have gone unanswered.

Horrible seller

"This was the worst on-line transaction I have ever made. They DO NOT RESPOND to phone calls or emails. If there is a problem with your order your only solution is to dispute the charge with your CC company. Their pricing is great but not worth the hassle. STAY AWAY!!!!!"

This is the worst online company that I have ever dealt with

"I tried to cancel an order prior to Osogrande charging me or shipping the knife. They NEVER answered over 50 phone calls, emails, and web contact forms. They are disreputable. They ended up charging me and sending me a knife that I tried to cancel. Osogrande will not communicate with you. They are ghosts. This is a man sitting in his pink **** ordering your knives one at a time. He is a middle man making a couple of dollars off of your purchase."

Order processing and fulfillment not good

"Ordered 4 items, of which 2 delivered, then a third, but never the fourth. Obviously the company was initially out of stock of the 3rd item, who knows about the 4th, since it was never received. While I was not charged for the 4th item, there was no response to my query as to what happened to it. Resellers should be up front about whether a particular it is in stock or not. The main item in the order, meant as an Xmas gift, was received after the 25th. Poor."

Found a Knife that I loved ...

"It was listed as a "Super Sale" with NO indication that it was not in stock.

Received an email confirmation of my order. There was NO indication that the item was not in stock in this order confirmation.

Logged into my account five (5) days later as I had heard nothing from the company, and found that the order was listed as 'awaiting payment.' There was NO INDICATION that my order was not in stock on the website's order history for my order. Just that the order was awaiting payment.

Contacted my credit card bank and the charge had not been run by the company. Weird.

Reached out to the merchant on their website, and they informed me that the item was NOT in stock and asked if I wanted to go on a back order status.

Reviewed other customer's feedback and found that this company apparently has numerous issues filling orders and communicating accurately with many of its customers.

Wish I had known that before I ordered from them.

Prompt Service

"I purchased a Cold Steel product from Oso Grande, it was an item that it was sold out everywhere but they had it in stock, I wanted a certain sheath color, so I asked them if they could take a photo of the actual sheath, and they went the extra mile to take a photo of the sheath and send it to me. Also, they gave me free shipping on my order and shipped it the same day, got a tracking number in my inbox right away. The shopping experience was outstanding. Their website is very friendly and certainly, their customer service exceeded my expectations. I will return to this knife retailer and I highly recommend it."

Great customer service!

"I will recommend this company to anyone! We had a rough go to start off with as my product somehow got lost in the mail. The customer service was amazing though, they replied promptly to all emails, went out of their way to investigate the situation and replaced the product without hesitation when we realized what had happened. Super friendly people who really care about their customers! I will use them again any time!"

Deceptive practices re: shipping charges

"This seller advertises "free shipping on orders over $99" at the top of every page on their site, which is very common for other retailers in this field that I have previously done business with. This is only VERY conditionally true and requires clicking on the "Details" link next to the advertisement of free shipping, and then reading SEVERAL lines into the terms and conditions to find the truth: Swords, axes, machetes, staffs, canes, Pelican Cases, or any item designated as either oversized or overweight (over 1 lb.) are not eligible for free shipping.

There is NO EMPHASIS placed on the "(over 1 lb.) are not eligible for free shipping" bit.

On top of that, the confirmation email that I received in advance of the order explicitly shows "Shipping: $0.00".

I also received another email stating "your order at OsoGrandeKnives.com has shipped!" which once again makes no mention of the shipping charges.

It was not until the order actually arrived that I received an invoice with the *true* shipping amount of $14.45 for the 2-day Express shipping (which I did not choose) added to the total.

This amount does absolutely nothing to offset the discount in pricing for the two items I ordered, so I ended up paying significantly more for my shipment than I would have with several other retailers (Amazon, for instance).

When I contacted the seller to let them know of my experience, they were apologetic, but defended their practice and offered no solutions.

This is a deceptive practice and I will not do business with this company again.

"I was looking for a very hard to find item. They had it in stock and for a reasonable price. They are very helpful and courteous and shipping was very fast to say the least. Thanks again guys and I'll be ordering again soon!"

Great price, great knife, great service

"I found a knife that we had been looking for on their website. It was a Boker Plus CLB XS Slipjoint Folding Knife (3.0 Inch 440C Plain Blade) G10 Handle 01BO536. They had it in stock at a significant savings. I purchased two of them. Their website indicated that it could take from 7-10 days to arrive. They arrived five days later in perfect shape.

I had absolutely no problem with the web site, with the placing of my order, and with the delivery.

I would buy from them again.
