JUST AS TERRIBLE AS 75% of ITS REVIEWS - I joined the OpticsPlanetTotalFrustrationExperience, how bout u?

"This company ****! I placed an order after signing up for a 10% discount by giving them my email for notifications. They cancelled the order. I reordered and used a 12% discount coupon and several days later they sent me an email that despite the item being "in stock" it would take 3-4 months to ship one of the items. I cancelled that order. I reordered some other parts and they said they shipped them. They must have used Pony Express since it said it would be 16 days until I got the items. I did not cancel this order, but should have. This company is absolutely terrible. They have no clue whatsover about customer service! I will not buy from them again. Heed the reviews before you buy from these jokers or else buy at your risk and experience the OPTICSPLANET total frustration experience They don't care!"

Shipping and Customer Service Complaint

"I placed a order for a barrel and reflex sight for my new pistol. I gave my PO Box as the shipping address. They responded saying they could not ship to a PO Box so I gave them my physical (home) address with the stipulation that they would have to ship via either UPS or FedEx because I don't have USPS at my home address. I received a confirmation email stating they would ship to my home and not use USPS. The next day I received a email stating my order was shipped via USPS. I called their customer service and was informed there was nothing they could do until it was returned to them, which could take weeks. Then they would either reship or refund my order. I felt like I shouldn't have to wait weeks for resolution and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told one would call me back within 48 hours. They have basically **** over $500 of my money, which is a lot to me and probably just a drop in the bucket to them. It appears that their customer service policy is to make their customers pay for their shipping department's mistakes. I've been a loyal OP customer for years, but no more. "

Waiting for nothing....for a year.

"Nov 30 2020, I ordered 1000 9mm124g NATO rounds from OP. My order had an ETA of a month. Now, nearly a YEAR waiting and watching the ETA dates pushed ahead, I have lost all expectations of receiving it. The price since ordering has easily doubled, and OP will not honor the previous agreement, This is a horrible way to run a business, and they should not be trusted to order from. Stay away from Optics Planet."

Poor customer care and of Veterans

"Wrote customer service a question about any upcoming promotions they might have for the upcoming Veterans Day in 7 days from now. Asking because I was looking at a high dollar purchase. The response I received back was, if I were an account holder or member of optics planet I would know. Really? That's the response I get. Not no, we sure are, but you will have to wait and see or I'll check for you. I am veteran, retired Army. This is how they treat their veterans. Just check your emails for promos when they come out. And that was it."

STILL WAITING

"STILL WAITING
We ordered the Wise Swingback Cooler seat on July 5, 2021. The website said it was expected to ship in 5-12 days. It’s now August 21st and we still don’t have it. My husband and I contacted Optics Planet 5 times and they have done nothing but lie. I was told I wouldn’t be charged until it shipped but they took the money on July 12th. Then they tried to tell me that they had not charged me yet while I was looking at my back statement where the money had come out. They even went as far as to call me a liar. Then they said it had already shipped but when we received a tracking number..so we called back and we’re to.d it would be shipped by August 16th at the latest yet here it is August 21st and still no tracking number. I contacted them by chat on the evening of the 16th to see if I could get a tracking number and James P. said he would check into it and email me a response but I’m STILL WAITING!!
This is the review I put on Optics planet and they denied putting up the review. Buyer beware..this company are LIARS and CONS.

Block all search results from Opticsplanet

"Same issues as everyone else. They want your money so bad that they blatantly lie about inventory count and shipping delays. First purchase I made was not shipped for 2 months, so I canceled it and ordered from another vendor. That order arrived in 2 days from their competitor. OP shipped my 2+ months late order 5 days after I canceled it. I then had to ship it back, at my expense, to get my refund(which took another month). Second order was listed as "in stock"(not likely) and shipping 15-24 days. After 2 months, I blocked all transactions having to do with OP from my payment method. That did not keep them from attempting to charge me 4-5 times until they took the hint, almost 3 months from when I made the mistake of ordering from them for the last time. I finally blocked them from Chrome so I didn't have to see anymore of their lies in my search results. Just a horrible company that should never be at the top of any search results. You should pretend they just don't exist, as you will regret trying to save money by having them waste your time and money. Consider ordering from OpticsPlanet not to be an option, ever, for any price. You will regret it."

Opticsplanet is garbage, go somewhere else!

"I ordered a complete upper in March with an estimate of 4-6 weeks to ship. Went with them because the manufacturer estimated 8-10 weeks. Delivery kept getting pushed back. I finally called them after 11 weeks of waiting and they told me I was 12th in line and I would get it in about 4 weeks (about 15 weeks total). It has now been 20 weeks since I ordered. Two days ago the delivery estimate changed again…to 36 weeks after I initially ordered and they told me I am now 10th in line. The kicker is that on the website the item is projected to ship in 1-4 business days. When I called customer service two days ago, a nice lady named Mildred tried to explain to me how lines work (like I’m an idiot) and told me that the estimate on the website is only an estimate and is not accurate. After the call I decided to order the item again to see what happens. The item I ordered that day shipped less than 24 hours later and the one I ordered in March (the exact same thing) is still projected to ship in November. Do yourself a favor and order your stuff from a different company. Opticsplanet is complete garbage and their customer service team lies."

Above and beyond

"I've ordered several things from OpticsPlanet over the past few years and always received my order on time and as expected. I recently had an issue with an order because one item from a multi-item order was backordered. When it came in they tried to charge the same card but it didn't go through. I called in and asked if I could just give them a different card number. No problem so the customer service rep transferred me to an automated system where I entered the card info and then I got transferred right back to the original person. This is absolutely fantastic security since it eliminates any human element from the equation. Granted their backend systems still need to be secure but it removes any responsibility from the customer service person. I think this is an extra step that very few companies will take and it makes me more comfortable buying from OpticsPlanet."

Same problem as everyone else.

"6 months! I've been waiting for my order for 6 months and every time I check the order status it is pushed back 2 weeks to a month longer and reading all the other reviews I don't see any resolution. Just an lame apology for the poor customer service. When I ordered my BCG it was listed as in stock. Not back order. It should have shipped promptly. Yet here I am 6 months later still waiting and I just found out it got pushed back another 2 weeks. If they can't fill the shipments, state it at the time of order and not months later. Cause now the part I need isn't available with anyone else either. If I would have known at the time it was going to be like this, I would have paid more and ordered from someone else and got it on time."

"I'so all the bad reviews and still try to buy from them, and the are do to me what the do to all. The change status to 1-4 month after the status was spinning. and i try to speek with them and get bad results. Please by smart and don't buy from them. the are selling stuff there don't have in the store/stok. And then the tell you 1001 stores "

"I ordered instock products from Optics Planet, Brownells, and Midway USA on the same day. 5 days later I had my orders from Brownells and Midway. After waiting a additional week, optics planet had still not shipped.
I canceled my order from Optics planet. A month later they shipped my canceled order. I called them and waited on hold for about 20 minutes. After they answered I was yelled at. She refused to cancel the label and return my money.
I refused the shipment without taking possession. They held my $500 for 4 months. The management refused to apologize. Buy from them at your own risk.

In stock Items ship in 8 months

"Ordered a product that was shown to be in stock and Checking Availability showed it would ship in 23 - 32 days. Different colors of the same product were all on backorder. A couple of days after the order was placed it changed to 100 plus days. I understand that things happen. I could wait. 45 days later, it shows shipping to be delayed for over 250 days from when it was ordered.

I got on the site and found another configuration that again showed in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. A different color on backorder but not the one being ordered. So I place the order. The next day this new order shows shipping over 200 days as well now.

Well, I go back to the item on the site and it is still showing that it is in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. It is not backordered or nothing stating that shipping will be delayed.

So I reach out to Customer Service. Just wanting to understand what happened. And to let them know that something may be broken. Yes I am frustrated. I explain the situation. The Agents gives me the song and dance that the manufacturer is behind. I explain that my complaint has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the Bait and Switch of telling me and other people right at this very moment that you can ship in 23-32 days when you cannot. AGent did what he was trained to do and towed the company line. etc...

However, it did not resolve anything. I am sure this Agents leadership at Optics Planet has no interest in knowing that they are either misrepresenting themselves (nice way of saying lying) or a system is broken and not updating correctly (assuming they have integrity).

Due to the Agent not offering to pass on info, or unable to offer any solution as my complaint was the misrepresentation. The culture there is for the Customer Service people to just be a barrier between the customers and leadership. So just shut up and give us your money.

Horrible customer service

"EDIT: OpticsPlanets response below is a lie, they have NOT issued a refund and I see no indication that it was shipped. I will edit as/if anything changes.

I ordered ammunition and decided to add a T-shirt to the order as a gift to a friend. T-shirt was packed up same day and showed ready for pickup by UPS. After week, I received the ammunition, but the T-shirt had the same status. I emailed them to cancel for refund and the told me it was shipped and provided the wrong tracking number (the one for the ammunition). It is impossible to get through on the phone, so 2-3 day lag for every email is what you will deal with and they will not read your emails, just reply with information you can see yourself online. The 2nd email I told them they sent me the wrong tracking number and asked again for a refund because it still was not given to UPS. They responded with the correct tracking number (which I had from the beginning and still shows that it was not given to UPS), and totally ignored my request for a refund.

The made a shipping label, then lost my shipment before they gave it to UPS. They would rather keep my $10 and lose a customer, when they could have just checked and realize that it wasn't shipped. In the beginning, I would have been fine with just sending it out, but they would rather lose a customer over a $10 shirt than do the right thing. I don't judge companies by problems that arise, I judge them by how they handle those problems, and Optics Planet fails.

Go elsewhere!!!!

"I ordered a rifle case from OP in early January. They said it was in stock, and due to busy volume, it would ship in 5 to 7 days. They charged my PayPal account immediately. After a week with no shipping, I called customer service and was offered assurances the product would ship. After 3 more weeks and multiple customer service failures, I cancelled the order. My money was not refunded and they later shipped the case which I had already purchased from another vendor (which arrives in 3 days). I contacted customer service, who had UPS redirect the case back to them. Now nearly a month later they have yet to refund me. I have had to contact PayPal in order to try to deal with this. Optics Planet still has my money 2 1/2 months later. They are either incredibly inept or dishonest. I advise against using them. "
