"Optical4less used to be great, but their product quality is now terrible.
Around 2012, I ordered a pair of rimless eyeglasses; the plastic cracked after approximately 6 months. I thought I had just been bad lucky, so I bought an other pair of rimless eyeglasses from optical4less. It too broke down after about 6 months; same problem: the plastic cracked where the lenses are held by the frame's rivets. I had been very careful while handling and cleaning my eyeglasses to not put any stress on the frame and lenses.
Around July 2017, given that Optical4less was stating that they now sell their rimless eyeglasses made with a better quality plastic, I bought another pair just in case the ones I have (made here in Canada) would brake down. Optical4less sent me the wrong size frame (the total width of the frame is off by more than 13 mm, as if the frame had been made for a small kid's head), even though the order states the correct size frame.
They are located in Hong Kong, and they know that once they have your money there is nothing you can do about it.
In my opinion, their operation is the net effective equivalent of a scam.

"When after a month from shipping date I had not received my glasses, I contacted Optical4less. They apologized and reasoned that it was a customs delay. Their solution? - offering me a replacement pair if I paid them an additional 50% of my original payment of $336 CDN! And then, having spent 50% more for replacement, why wouldn't I likely have the same non-delivery problem as with the original glasses? I have an open ticket with Optical4less and I continue to wait for their reply. I trust they will do the right thing and either give me a full refund or find a dependable and timely way to get the glasses order to me."
"I've ordered from Optical4Less 3 times over 7 years. In June of 2017, I placed another order. Optical4Less sent eyeglasses that were not what I ordered (and not my prescription), and they stopped communicating with me after assuring that they would correct the problem. My only option was to dispute the $400 I had paid Optical4Less through American Express. Buyer beware, as I can sadly report that I believe Optical4Less is now scamming consumers."

"First order, great. Second order: one pair as ordered, second pair unusable but I selected "small" size and took it as a loss. Third order: both pairs were incorrect, submitted multiple tickets over two weeks, no response whatsoever.
Do not expect any refund or recourse if your order is not fulfilled. My success rate has been 40%, only two of five pairs of glasses I have ordered were accurate. The ticket system on the website is for show. I got no response at all despite multiple messages with pictures. The company is in China so your 30 day guarantee includes 3 weeks of transit time, and since your tickets are ignored you get what you pay for- crap! I do not recommend. 0 out of 5."
"I had someone tip me off to this back around 2009, have literally bought every pair of glasses from them since even though I have eyeglass coverage. My prescription doesn't change so it is way easier to just order online with old Rx and not have to go through the whole eye exam high pressure frame sales process at the mall etc. Every pair has been perfect so far. They seem to last a few years which is reasonable for a 30 dollar pair :)

"I used to buy from them years ago and every year or two I would get another pair. I did this for the past 10 years. However, the past couple orders have been wrong.
The last order last year they said they would send a replacement but never did. Also never sent the refund. 1 year later i just ordered another pair and these were also wrong and the frame was very very cheap and garbage quality. glasses were wrong size.
After less than 1 year these lenses are beginning to crack. I am suspicious these are not polycarbonate even though I paid a lot extra to get polycarbonate. Previous lenses lasted much longer.
While I used to love optical4less, they are no longer reliable. And they no longer carry the frames I used to buy in the color I like. So I can't get the frames and they screw up on the lenses so I can't trust them anymore. They do not respond and do not refund so this time I wised up and filed a paypal claim to get my money back.
It usually take 1 to 2 months when ordering to a new address, because it is held by customs. This is just to be expected for ordering internationally. The second time I order to the same address it arrives after 1 to 2 weeks.
They used to send the glasses in a box but this time they were sent in a padded envelope. Looks like they are probably close to going out of business. Their website was down the other day, I thought they were out of business but now the website is back up. I guess they didn't realize when they starting having bad quality products and bad quality service then they would be losing customers. Seems like they are struggling now, but this is their fault why their company is struggling because they are failing to deliver the products and services they used to do years ago.
Sadly now I have to find an alternative place to get my glasses. I will not buy from the United States because U.S. companies charge 100 times (not even exaggerating) the value of the glasses, it is a 10,000% markup, no glasses in the world cost hundreds of dollars to make, they only cost about $5 to make the frames and lenses, the rest is pure profit. Optometry in the U.S. is a massive scam so I will be looking for another company in China to order glasses from."
