"Seriously fast shipping, even via USPS. I ordered a $3 LED fan off of OpenLinx on Friday, April 30, at 7:34 EDT (5:34 PDT), and it got here on Monday, May 3rd. I ordered an ATI video card from newegg the day before at around 6pm via Fedex Express. It shipped from New Jersey (destination: Pennsylvania) and is still not here yet. On their website, they say a maximum of 2 days for processing, minus weekends. They had to have shipped on the day I bought it, as the USPS only ships on Saturdays, and not Sundays. Kudos to them for a very prompt delivery.

Update: The video card from Newegg came on Wednesday, May 5th, just one single day earlier than scheduled.

"I ordered 4 vga/chipset fans; 3 of the items were what I ordered, the 4th was not. I called Openlinx and asked them to send me the right product. They wanted me to return the product I received that I did not order. Openlinx sends me the correct product and written instructions to put the return item in a box and send it to them using the prepaid Postal return label. The prepaid postal return label I received from Openlinx is for $1.19. The Post Office won't even ship a box for a dollar and change. So I had to pay for Openlinx's screw-up. :(

UPDATE: 03-01-04 Openlinx contacted me via email and threaten legal action against me unless I changed my negative report above because it might hurt their business. I have asked Openlinx to stop emailing me and they just keep on sending those repetitive harassing emails. The harassing emails continued for about 3 days.

"I had placed this order without looking at the reseller rating. I kind of thought after looking that I might not get my items I ordered. (Firewire card w cable and two ide cables). Much to my surprize, two days later I received a e-mail with the shiping notice and tracking number. I received my items, end of that week and all worked as new. I can't say I had any problems with this order at all."

I ordered an Achieve 550w Power supply, paid $15 extra for expedited delivery. When I received this power supply, it did not function. Stupid me, I figured that perhaps it might be as simple as a fuse, so I took it apart to check. No problem with fuse, and STILL doesn’t work. Bam...Goodbye warranty !..No problem, my own fault.

Proceeded to purchase ANOTHER Power Supply of the same type, an Achieve 550w PS. Waited 2 weeks, since I did not pay extra for expedited delivery. I already had too much sunk into this as it was. Installed Power Supply again...and once again, non functioning. Then what a fight to recieve an RMA number. First, they have it set up that it can only be had by FAXING the RMA request, and after numerous phone calls, FINALLY agreed to accept a emailed RMA request. So, a number of emails letters LATER (they kept emailing me the proper proceedures of installing the power supply, as if I didn’t know how) I received an RMA #. Along with this threat :

RMA PRODUCT SENDING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Write down the number on package
2. RMA number is validfor 10 days only.
3. Use only UPS or Postal mail not FedEx.
NOTE
1. We test every item claimed to be defective and found no trouble,
there is $10.00 handling fee.
2. Physical damage voids warranty
3. RMA exchange period depends on manufacturers not by OPENLINX.

So, I sent the item Power supply back....Wait Wait Wait...3 weeks... Emailed to see if it was recieved...Well, a couple days later they said yes....no other response as to when the replacement would be shipped out. So, I emailed AGAIN, to ensure that this unit would be tested FIRST before it was sent out. 2 days later, response...just a plain YES...not another word was typed...just that single word.
Well, a week later, I received my THIRD power supply from this company...and Lo and Behold, worked first try...WOW
So, on a power supply that I paid $25 for, plus $15 of expedited shipping, and ANOTHER $25 for a replacement for the first, and then another $12 to ship the SECOND power supply back...$77.00 total on a power supply that SHOULD have only cost $25 to begin with...and TWO MONTHS later, I finally get a power supply that works.
And not ONE word of apology for all of the inconvenience caused by their defective products and shoddy customer service.
Don’t buy ANYTHING from this company. They are a disgrace to online business, and should be avoided like the PLAGUE !

"I received a DOA CPU. I experienced delays and a display of no common sense to the RMA form process with the obvious attempt to act as a barrier to the returning of defective product. Upon finally getting the CPU to Openlinx it was rejected because of "scratches" on the CPU due to normal mate with a heat sink and fan. On top of that they charged $10 to send the CPU back to me. They do not accept responsibility for the product that they sell and exhibit exceptionally poor customer service. Their price is what drew me to them in the first place so if one is willing to take the chance that they are getting something that will work - good luck. I for one will never deal with this outfit again and want to warn others to make sure a manufacturer's warranty exists on the product because dealing with this vender will lead to a dead end."

"What a joke. Been almost a month and these lousy merchants never mailed my order which was a low-priced PCI FIREWIRE IEEE 1394A CARD.

These lazy bozos had not even processed my credit card yet !

Just to be sure, 10 days later, I placed an order again for a different make this time, to see what game these jokers were playing. Still no sign of anything being done with these orders !

They wasted my time building my PC by more than a month, and I still dont see anything being done with my order, no refusal/correction/ nothing. Just two order confirmation emails.

I must have bought parts from various vendors to build this PC, this sure took the cake.

I found them through Pricewatch, and even though I notified Pricewatch how fraudulent(maybe thats too harsh..I should say lazy unprofessional and vacationing merchants) they were that I never got the item I ordered, it is still listed in the Pricewatch website under Firewire Video Capture cards !!

I have now learnt to ALWAYS check this website before placing an order with a merchant !

"Ordered some misc parts (IDE cable, thermal paste, CPU fan) and printed out the receipt I was given from the shopping cart transaction. 12 days pass and I wonder why I haven't received the package yet. I shoot them an e-mail, which goes unanswered. I call them on the long-distance phone number listed on the transaction receipt and give them the Invoice Number listed on the receipt. They said they have no record that than transaction ever happened and asked me to fax them my receipt so they could process it. Severely annoyed that I wasn't made aware that they didn't ship my good sooner, I simply told them to forget it. Don't trust this company with your credit card numbers if they can't even keep track of their sales!"

"I ordered a set of round ide and floppy cables from openlinx and two days later I received an email saying that my CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN DECLINED. Nothing more. I emailed them with no response, and called my credit card company, who said that there had been no attempts to charge my card since the 25th, and that openlinx had not tried at all. I then called openlinx and spoke with a man with poor english skills at best who would not tell me the method with which openlinx declined my card. He would not tell me the name of the bank they use or give me any helpful information. Then, he said that I should get my parts somewhere else and hanged up on me. I will NEVER do business with this company again."
