"Order placed on 7/27 and received an auto confirmation immediately. No further communications. Tried emailing and calling repeatedly. No response to emails and both telephone lines were busy continously. The charge hit my credit card as pending, then disappeared after a week. I gave up and placed the order elsewhere. No sure what is going on with this vendor, but their customer service needs some serious attention."

"Never Again! There is no customer service (ie:no one answers the phone, no one responds to emails they initiate). They sell products that are not in stock, but without any warning to a potential customer."

"I purchased 3 items from Online Marine. After several days without a response from them I tried calling and no one answered. After 5 more attempts I got through and was told the 1 of the items was no longer available, the most expencive one BTW. I said that it would have been nice if I was informed of this in some way. I then told them to ship the balance of the order and cancel the other item, which they did and shipped promtly. The only problem is they billed me for the whole order, which is $610 higher than what it should have been.

I am now in the 3rd week of trying to get ahold of someone there. Multiple voice messages & email left with no response. I guess I'll have to take it up with my CC to get it resolved. I'll never do business with them again, it's to bad too as they have some real good pricing.

1/15/07 Update: After several more calls and being left on terminal hold I finally got through to someone on 1/11/07. I was told they would refunded the $600. We'll see on my next statement...

I still think it'd be unlikely I'd buy from them again. Their customer service sucks & no apology at all. I can't believe they couldn't even send a 2 line email to me...

"Like a previous poster, after reading some of the comments on this site, I was a little concerned about ordering from this company, but they had, by far, the best price I could find for a Loos Tension Gauge. I ordered it on Dec. 17th, it was drop-shipped from the manufacturer on the 19th, and probably arrived on the 22nd via UPS Ground (I was out of town at the time). They could communicate a little better. I never received any kind of email confirmation of my order. When I tried to track the order via their website I ended up at a dead-end UPS tracking link. The bottom line, though, is that I received what I ordered in a reasonable amount of time at a very reasonable price, so I was pleased with the transaction."

"I had an excellent experience purchasing from Online Marine. Their price on the trolling motor that I wanted beat anyone elses that I could find. The shipping on this large item was a bargain also through a special on their site.

Not having dealt with this store before, and reading a few negative reviews, I was a little skeptical. I decided to call first to see if they had the model I wanted in stock before I placed the online order. I got right through to someone on their toll-free number who was very helpful in looking it up. I placed the online order on the 10th and had the trolling motor by the 13th.

I would definately do business with them again.

"This store was a little slow in supply but this is not the main reason for placing a review. Buyers should be aware that the delivery note / cash reciept is attatched to the outside of the package in a clear plastic envelope. Included on this form are your full 16 digit credit card number, expiry date, e-mail address, contact telephone number and the value of your order. This is clearly visible for all to see during transit through the Post / UPS / DHL / Airfreight systems.
Do not belive their Privacy Policy! I have had to cancel my credit card because I made the mistake of buying from this company! E-mails of complaint have been totally ignored.

"I was hesitant to order based on negetive reviews. I did anyway and am very glad I did. One of two items I ordered arrived in 7 days. The other was backordered and arrived a week later. The invoice with the first shipment showed both items as having shipped so I did end up calling. I got through to someone the first time. They did not send me a tracking number or any notification that the shipments had been made. But if I checked my order status on their site, it linked me to UPS with the number. Until it had shipped, it tried to link to UPS but resulted an an error. So there was a couple things that made me nervous, but those seem to be unfounded.

Their prices were the best. They beat the heck out of sailnet prices and arrived just as fast if not faster. I would definetely order from them again.

"Purchased a Navman GPS unit from Onlinemarin.
2 days after the order I received the GPS unit in good condition. Onlinemarin also checked the unit was working before shipping it. I should also mention that I live in Scandinavia so in my opinion the order was handled very fast. The only complaint I can do is that those guys are not easy to reach by phone ( either a very busy company or to few people working with sales/support ). They did however answer my mail within 24hrs. I also think the onlinemarine web site is very well organized. Easy to find products and a lot of usefull information, Kudos !

"Onlinemarine.com is the absolute worst online purchasing experience that I've ever had. They shipped the wrong item, then billed my AMEX even after I informed them of their error & shipped the item back to them unopened. They said they would ship a replacement & never did. Customer service then lied to me again regarding the replacement shipment - it still was never shipped. They did not read/answer any of my numerous emails. They almost never answer their phone & will never call you back. Their fax number never works. They go out of their way not to communicate with you. I would never buy from them again. AMEX has been informed & will remove their bogus charge from my bill. I cannot understand how such an incompetent company manages to stay in business."

"I ordered a depth sounder from this company on 8/19. They immediately sent an email saying that they had charged my credit card. However, 11 days later I still have not received a notice about shipping. I sent them an email, and got no response within 3 days. I called them several times, and every time I called they had an answering machine saying "all sales representatives are busy assisting customers. Please leave your name and number and a sales representative will call you back...". No response from them. Their web site says you can contact them via AOL instant messenger. Well I put them on my "buddy" list, and they were logged in maybe 10 minutes all day. Unfortunately I couldn't find my order number within those 10 minutes, so it was back to more conventional means of trying to contact them.

Their policy of charging my card immediately and the difficulty of contacting them make me feel like I'm being scammed. Maybe it's a scam, and maybe it's not. But one thing is for sure...I'm going to cancel my credit card order ASAP.
