I also ordered the lift gate since I’m to old to be lifting that crated engine. Motor shipped fast, extra items were in the box, and delivered actually 4 days earlier than the estimated arrival. The free shipping was a gift, I opened my garage door before the truck arrived and went back in the house. Went he knocked on the door he had already placed the pallet in my garage directly under my winch. What service!! FedEx was wonderful. Not a nick anywhere on the box. "I purchased this 15 HP electric start Honda 2024 for the best price I could find anywhere. The free shipping came through FedEx. I purchased on Feb 1, 2024, the motor shipped from TN and arrived in my driveway on the back of a FedEx truck on Feb 8th. It was in MN on Feb 6th, but FedEx loaded it on the wrong truck in the yard. They called and offered to allow me to pick it up, but I opted to have them deliver 2 days later, when I was available. I unboxed the obviously brand new motor. I didn't start it because I won't use it till spring. In the box was the motor, 3 gallon plastic gas tank, fuel line, pull start rope and owners manual. I needed a fork lift to get it off the truck, which I had. If you don't have fork lift capabilities you need to pay the extra $130 for FedEx's power lift gate option. Onlineoutboards.com was awesome to deal with. "
"I bought an outboard back in June. In the advertising and in the invoice it indicated that the outboard included free ground shipping. A few days ago the person where i sent the outboard received an invoice from Fedex for shipping charges due to the use of a lift gate. I call Online Outboard and Cindy Kowalik's answer my call. She seems to be the only one dealing with customers (Email and phone complains went only to her). Her response was that I should deal with Fedex and complain to them. I did not have an order or any agreement with Fedex.. Online Outboard arranged the shipping. Additionally, in the terms and conditions, Online Outboards indicate that if a need for using a lift Gate arise they were going to confirm with the customer prior delivery to make sure it was ok. This is something that never happened.
Cindy's response was unacceptable, not only because, they, Online Outboard, never contacted me to approve the use of the Lift Gate, but also for putting the decision on whether to use the lift gate if needed, and generate a cost to me , on Fedex.
Now, my rating for Online Outboards is not only because of how they operate. Also, they have a person that has no education or has a problem with Latin men. Regardless of her lack of education, I would have expected better customer service. Cindy was extremely rude (Constantly interrupted me to the point that I had to ask several times to to please let me finish before she responded. Furthermore, I cannot accept her expressing to me with the phrase "Oh my god!" and "Oh my Gosh! ". Only when Finally, I asked to speak with her supervisor which seem to have really upset her, she came back and agreed to take care of the issue with Fedex but did not agree to transfer me to her supervisor. She hang up the phone on me, I call several times and I got the same response. Totally UNACCEPTABLE!
I usually, do not waste my time writing this type of reviews but certainly I hate having to deal with such an attitude. I would never purchase anything from a company that acts this way. I expect a manager to reach out to me indicating the issue has been resolved and an explanation for this person behavior. Definitely i expect a response within 24 hours."

"We're living on our boat and we needed a new outboard fast! I called to ask some general questions looking at a new outboard and they were professional and answered my questions. I placed the order and where we don't have a shipping address we were shipping the outboard to a friends house in FL. Within a couple of minutes they called me back because the shipping name and billing name are different. I explained our situation and the motor was on its way within an hour of hanging up with them. Got the motor about 3 days later in perfect condition, starts and runs perfectly.
I read other reviews on here and they were complaining about service and I believe this is only a business to purchase from. If there are issues with your purchase you'd need to go to an authorized dealer and run the warranty through them.

"I bought a Suzuki 6hp outboard and followed all instructions. Ran it in a barrel for 3 hours to break it in. When I put the boat in the water with the brand new engine, it would not run above idle unless the choke was out. Drained carb and put in new gas. Same result. Called dealer. They said I had the "classic" symptom of over-filled oil and asked if I put 19 oz. only of oil in as instructed. Said, yes I did. They told me to drain out the new 3hr oil and to put fresh oil in and that would fix everything. I did. Same problem. Contacted them again. They told me to bring it to an authorized dealer (apparently they are not one). Sent me a link to supposedly authorized dealers. So far, none will do warranty work on new motor. Asked online outboards if I could trade the new motor in on another, higher HP model. They said they don't take trades. They have good prices and quick delivery. But no service and no help with defective new motors. So, are you feeling lucky today?"
"Great price, great service and great delivery time. We’d. the 24th I sent an email with a few questions, within 15 min. I had an answer from them. 9:30 pm We’d. I ordered the motor (2023 Mercury 3.5), Friday morning I had an email my motor shipped (Free) via Fed Ex. Mon. the 29th my motor arrived. I saved over $300.00 from local dealers who had no delivery date, Online Outboards registered my 3 year warranty with Mercury and I can use any local dealer for any problems. How the motor runs, is up to Mercury. Totally happy with them and surprised at the service. "
"If you order from them just pray that everything works great because they will not help you after they take your money. I bought a honda from them and the impeller went out on the first trip. 5 phone calls later not one return call from them. Any money you save will be spent fixing it yourself. "

"Bought a Suzuki outboad with starting problems. NO RETURNS! I should have been warned by that. All the local warranty centers they gave me do not work on Suzuki. So, NO WARRANTY SERVICE. i contacted them by phone. Marginal attitude and no time for me. A year and a half later, I still have the same problem. Now I also need instructions to change the oil. I sent a detailed written request for technical information on their web site. No answer!
They are too busy to sell, BUY LOCAL IF YOU WANT SERVICE! "

I think a lot of you people who say its a fake company have them confused with some other company!
