Copy legal documents

"Went to the store in Valdosta, GA to make few copies after legal documents. I aske the customer service what need to be done but I did not asked the employee to read them. Probably was very curios what SSA letter contain along with the financial statement.
Contacted store manager, a totally unprofessional lady, wonder how she was able to retain such a position.

Great Customer Service

"I use OfficeMax in Tyler, Texas for almost all my stationary needs. I'm not a big office but just a regular person who probably spends about $200 annually on office supplies. It doesn't matter to the people working at OfficeMax they greet me and always ask if I need assistance. About half the time I do. They never **** off and give me the attention I need. I will continue to use them especially for copying. "

Did not honor price match

"I have ordered a TurboTax from them and it was $10 cheaper at Target, NewEgg, and Amazon at the time of purchase. Before placing the order, the agent on the live chat confirmed that he will be able to price match my purchase. After I placed the order, I did not receive a confirmation for a couple of hours. So I contacted customer service again and they confirmed price match and that it will posted in 5-7 days. Now, 8 days after, I contacted customer service and they said that first agents did not "escalate" refund and therefore they cannot do price match. They told me this after I made a non-refundable purchase based on their promise!"

EXCELLENT SERVICE: Office Max and Office Depot

"We have a family calendar printed every year. I took my calendar in to Office Max, Bend, Oregon to be printed. The sales advisor, Cyndi Hoffman, was so helpful. She informed me that the pictures I brought in had light lines through them, so would have to be redone on different paper. I had a problem finding the right paper she recommended and Cyndi came to my rescue and offered to help. She showed me the paper I needed. I redid the pictures that night on the paper she recommended and they turned out perfect. She gave me recommendations on what paper I should use for the calendar itself. She was so patient and understanding.

Damaged my computer during work

"11/10/20
I bring in My computer to have the SSD card replaced with an upgraded card and to have the data migrated. This is a simple procedure, it involves; saving the current data onto an external drive (or the D: drive which is what they did), removing the case cover, removing an M.2 screw from the card post, pulling out the old card, inserting the new card, putting the screw back in and the case cover and finally transferring the data back to the new card (with the windows installation disk etc. as required). Unfortunately, the technician found the M.2 screw difficult to remove and ended up stripping the head of the screw beyond use. His solution was to attempt to use pliers to remove the screw. Note he did not tape off the motherboard which allowed for all the metal shavings to go wherever they wanted to land on the motherboard. Additionally, during the process, he scratched around the screw on the SSD card itself. Furthermore, I witnessed him attempting to remove the screw with pliers and slip hitting the motherboard. Finally, he admitted that he did not have the tools or means to finish the job. He “ran a test” and determined no damage was done to the computer (except for the visual scratches to the SSD Card, stripped out M.2 screw, and any unknown future issues that could result from hitting the motherboard with pliers).

This resulted in my having to take the CPU to a computer repair shop which had to remove and replace the post holding the M.2 screw, running diagnostics, replacing the scratched SSD card and migrating the data. They provided the standard Invoice for work done (at I might mention a very fair price).

Office Depot Sr Claims Analyst messages me requesting “I will need a statement from the company who remove the stripped screw advising what steps were necessary for the repair due to the stripped screw alone.” I explain to Her that I was having trouble getting the additional documentation as they are busy and have already provided the invoice for work done (It does not fall on them to provide additional documentation that meets your business needs). I mentioned that if Office Depot were willing to pay their rate $80/hr. they would probably be willing to make time to provide the requested documentation (as time is money). Office Depot declined to pay for the documentation to be supplied in their requested format, but still expected it to be done.

Office Depot sent a follow up email stating that the work they would consider was the screw replacement and not memory work (SSD replacement) as they ran a test and said there was no memory issue. This doesn’t not account for the damage as discussed and would require the repair shop to document the damage and replacement of the card. Again, the charge was 1.5 hrs. for screw/post replacement and 1.5 hrs. for SSD replacement/data migration. Rather than owning the damage done and gratefulness that I took time to get it fixed at a very reasonable rate rather than adding on the motherboard replacement (which I would be justified after the operator allowed metal shavings to be scattered about it, and hit it with pliers) of even the cost of a new SSD card (which the operator scratched up).

Almost 30 days later and still waiting on a resolution. It is difficult to make a repair shop provide special statements of work when they are not being compensated for their time. Rather than doing the right thing and fixing their mistake Office Depot would rather string you along making things difficult.

Do Not Believe What They Say

"Placed an order yesterday morning. Order was promised next day delivery. Today, account still shows processing. They blamed UPS! I went to Office Max "Online Chat". They said it was a third party vendor and delivery is always 2-3 days. They promised next day! They blamed UPS when they were still processing! They blamed 3rd party vendor. They told me a new delivery date had been posted to my account. Another lie! It still shows delivery today. How can I work with someone who won't tell me the truth. I once sold football tickets. I went to Offfice Max on Thursday and paid lots to ship them overnight mail. They forgot to give them to the FedEx guy and sent them out on Monday! I lost the sale and they refused all responsibility. Other than going into the store and physically putting an item in the cart, DON;T TRUST THEM!"

Office Max horrible treatment towards people with Disabilities

"I recently went to this repulsive store to ask a simple question and maybe print something if possible. I am a elderly person with chronic asthma. On 8/2/20 I entered the store with a mask on but, I cannot cover my nose and mouth because of my severe respiratory problems. I told him this as I walked in. He followed me to the printing department and proceeded to tell me if I didn't cover my mouth I had to leave. I pulled out the letter my Dr. gave to back-up what I had explained to him. He motioned to me that he didn't care and proceeded to probably call the manager. At my age I don't need the stress, I just walked out. The store was practically empty. There were more employees there than customers. I have gone to many other stores in the area and never been treated this way. You are not the mask police! This ridiculous male ignorant moron was obviously on a power trip! He was practically telling me he didn't care if I could breathe or not. You went against the ADA and my right to maintain my health. I am doing the best I can in this present situation. When all this stupidity is over I will never ever go to your store again and I will pass along my experience to others. No wonder your businesses have such poor reviews. I hope you will soon be out of business as it looks you may be anyway. I have today reported your store in particular (Ellison NW, Albuquerque, NM), but Office Max in general to the ADA. I am also asking advice from my lawyer to see if I can proceed with a law suit. If you are too stupid to realize that the communistic Democrats have politicized merchants in this country then you deserve to be out of business!

Web site straight up lied

"Ordered toilet paper online. Toilet paper is in short supply during the pandemic and I was excited to find a site that had some to sell. The site took my order, gave a delivery date of 2 business days later, told me my order had been shipped, then went as far as to tell me my order was delivered. When I called to say I hadn't received my shipment I was informed it was because the items were backordered and unavailable to ship. Other sites were professional enough to inform me the item was out of stock immediately, and certainly did not feel the need to lie about shipping the order. To top it off my complaint to customer support received no reply whatsoever."

DARTMOUTH MA STORE USELESS

"We went to the store to have business cards printed. Parking lot was empty - the girl inside at printing station told us they do not design business cards. She told us to go home and do it ourselves on their website. We have been on several other occasions and were disappointed. I ordered invoices on website 6 mos. ago and the order was wrong twice the third time I final received them the right way. This was the last time, we will no longer be doing business with Office Max!"

Terrible service at Superstition Mall area store

"I was in the store to get a spine put on a new book. I checked in at the kiosk and my wait time said 5 minutes. After waiting for 20 minutes I asked David the sales person how much longer I would have to wait to get my book bound.(mind you he saw the book in my hand while I was waiting). He said he couldn’t do that because he’d have to cut the spine. I said I knew that since I’ve had many book bound there. He then proceeded to tell me the machine that binds books has been broken for 4 months!!! So he co I’m uldn’t have told me that when he could see I had a book in my hand!!! I was shocked at his response and his lack of comprehension of my needs. I left the store disgusted and will not return. No wonder this change is having difficulties. "
