"Ordered a Sparkle MicroATX power supply for my TheCus NAS (FSP200-50PLA). The website stated it would shipped in a week. I received it exactly in a week with no problems. The item was what I ordered.

I could not vouch for the customer service but I can say they shipped what I ordered in the time stated.

"Ordered two motherboards, GA-945GCMX-S2, one came in dead. So I returned one. It took over a month plus at least ten phone calls before I see my refund to be posted in my credit card. Some one menthioned that Hena said it is their company policy to cover the shipping if it is defect. Well, I mentioned that to the guy who answered many of my phone calls. He told me that Hana does not work here any more. It sounds like since Hana does not work here any more, so our company policy should not be the same any more. I don't think I will buy from this company any more. "

"Positive first impression with my first order with this company. Ordered more than I wanted in order to get up to $150 (free shipping). After I ordered, I was informed that one item was out-of-stock -- not the critical part of the order, so it did not matter. The remainder of the order still came with free shipping, so in my case it was actually a bonus. I received two OEM CPUs. The packing was great, very well protected; the best I have ever seen (vacuum sealed container, anti-dessicant with a strip that would reveal the presence of humidity; CPUs were surrounded by foam in a separate hard plastic cases.) In spite of that, I noticed a slightly bent pin, but that was easily fixed. Shipping time was ok, but the slight delay didn't matter to me. So for me, it was great."

"I have been receiving emails from nowdirect for months but their prices were never very low. Especially when you consider nothing under $150 gets free shipping.
I finally saw some Samsung DVD-RW drives with Lightscribe on sale.
I bought two of them. I did receive confirmation and a tracking number. The delivery was reasonable.
But when I opened the box, I discovered they were two different model numbers. One with Lightscribe and one without lightscribe.
Not a big deal, but how did this happen? Did they pull the items out of two different places?
I email the company as an FYI telling them this was one reason why I buy mostly from NewEgg.
I did receive an answer, telling me that nowdirect uses a "third party warehouse" and they are responsible for their actions. He did offer to mediate a resolution but I'm not paying return shipping for this small a problem.

UPDATE: 1-21-09
I received a phone call from Kenna (customer service) at nowdirect to try to resolve my problem. When I explained that I didn't want to pay return shipping for this small problem, she stated that their policy was to pay for return shipping on defective items or shipping errors that were their fault, which is did not understand before. This seems to me to be more than fair.
I have to give nowdirect (and especially Kenna)credit for going out of their way to satisfy a customer.
Communication is the key. They responded to my problem and for this I recommend them.

"Well lets start by saying I did eventually receive the merchandise in good condition. the problem is that it took way too long and I had to get nasty with them to get it.

I ordered a Hardrive on 12/7/08, the web site advertises fast order processing and shipping (24hrs) so I select ground shipping as I didn't need it for about a week or so.

I received order confrimation right away. 8 days go by and I don't see a charge to my Visa, so I call the customer support line during their advertised business hours and get a recording that they are closed for the entire 4 day Thanksgiving weekend, only its 16 Dec. I start to get a uneasy feeling. I call again a few hours later and get the same message.
I now email them and demand that them to cancel my order if they can get it to me by the 19th of december.
This gets me a response from them with an excuse that they had problems processing my Visa charge (the billing address was different). They stated that they had attempted to call me on the 8th of Dec. to try to resolve the issue.
I use this card all the time for internet orders and I have never had an issue. I re-checked my account address on there website and it matched exactly to my billing address. I checked my cell phone for missed calls and messages and found nothing.
Customer service should have called more than once in a 7 day period (if they actually called at all) don't you think? My email to them, stated that I leave reviews on this site which I believe helped my dealings with them. My order was shipped with upgraded shipping (2 day) Air and should have been delivered on the 19th, but bad weather prevented UPS from getting it to me until the 23rd. I will not order from this place again. I find the business to be un-professional, they can't even change their phone message.

This is just my experience, you may have a different one. There are better onling resellers out there that have score of 8.5+. I needed a specific type of hard drive and NowDirect was the best rated store that had it in stock so I took a chance on them.

This part will probably get sensored, but try NewEgg.com or MWave.com. they are 9+ rated and have great prices and good customer support.

"To be completely fair, nowdirect.com had the best price (including shipping and handling), and my products arrived in apparently new condition. If the quality of service had even approached the same high level of value then this would have been the first of many purchases. But, it did not. Different shipping and billing addresses delayed the order for several days. Of two customer service representatives with whom I interacted, one was barely adequate and the other was positively rude. After address “verification”, the order almost shipped to a customer-service-modified version of the billing address rather than the shipping address. As a direct result of these customer service failures, I am unlikely to order anything from nowdirect.com in future."

"On the plus side, I got this wireless bridge for a good price and somewhat fast. However, there were several issues with the order process. First, even though NowDirect claims to ship orders received before 2 p.m. on the same day, my 10 a.m. order only shipped the next day. The order system indicated that it shipped but didn't provide a tracking number. Customer service responded quickly but initially claimed that the order had shipped. The order system only updates during the night. The second night it showed that two items were ordered but that got cleared up the next morning. The outside package and the box containing the bridge were damaged during shipment but the bridge wasn't damaged. Overall, I'm happy that I received the item at a good price but the order process didn't work very smoothly."

"I ordered an XFX 780i motherboard which arrived quickly, but was defective, my computer did not boot or post. I sent in an RMA on April 15th which arrived April 17th. Apparently on April 21st they credited my credit card with the amount for the purchase. There are multiple things wrong with this:

1) I was under the assumption that I would be receiving a replacement motherboard, not get my money back. Now, since I bought the rest of my components from newegg (they were out of stock of the motherboard, the only reason I bought from nowdirect in the first place) I am now past the RMA time for the rest of my parts and have no idea if any of them work, since I don't have a functional motherboard to test them with.

2) The reason I was refunded instead of shipped a replacement, according to the representative, was that they can't charge my credit card for shipping the replacement. Why should I be charged for an RMA to come back? I have sent in multiple RMAs before to other stores and have NEVER had to pay for return shipping. I already paid for shipping with my purchase, and they sent me a defective product. The notion that I should pay to have a replacement sent to me is absolutely ABSURD.

3) NOBODY TOLD ME, IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM, WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I did not find out anything about the status of my RMA until today, via e-mail, after I called customer service to find out what was going on.

I will never buy from nowdirect again.

"Excellent! First off, don't listen to what the review "phish" said. NowDirect has a active inventory system for each item that dynamically changes when items become available/unavailable. He probably didn't bother to even look at what was right in from of him.

Now for my review... NowDirect prices are usually very competitive compared to Newegg, TigerDirect, ZipZoomFly, MicroCenter, etc. They ship very quickly. You can watch how your product is actively processed when you log in to the site. Everything is done very smoothly and expediently. I was also very impressed with their customer service. I called to ask a question about a product, and I had to pleasure to talk to one of the nicest persons I've ever spoken with. They were extremely knowledgeable and answered everything without hesitation. AMAZING! The product arrived undamaged and in excellent shape.

I recommend NowDirect to all my friends. An excellent place to do business!

"Nowdirect had a good deal on a Pioneer BDC-202BK Blu-ray drive for PC. I took the bait and ordered. They were a bit slow in shipping the order but they shipped within the time estimated by their website (3-5 days). The drive came and I am happy with the transaction. Just wanted to leave them another note on RSR so people will have more than two opinions to look at."
