"Return shipping policy is outdated. I returned a product after it did not work out for me and even though I paid my own return shipping (only $7.60), they proceeded to charge me for the original shipping charge ($12.83), even though it said free shipping (not sure why their company gets such awful shipping rates compared to my own). When I asked why they told me to read their policy. So I ultimately lost $20 by buying from this retailer. I also received the $500 camera in a beat up box with cheap industrial looking pink packing foam that were dirty. Needless to say, it did not feel high-end nor was I excited about receiving my new camera. I would suggest using Adorama Camera instead. I ultimately bought a different camera from there and the experience was much better.
While I understand companies might want to protect themselves from returns, why would an out of town customer want to buy from this store with the risk of losing money on a return item? The outbound shipping should be apart of the cost of business, and the customer should ultimately pay any return fees, with many retailers now covering even return fees. In my opinion, there are much better retailers out there that will make you feel safe when buying. Go there instead. "
"I had ordered a very pricey new lens from them and received the item on time. Unfortunately, the lens inside the box was stolen and the you could clearly see that the shipping carrier taped over NC's tape. I quickly called Phil from NC and explained the situation, and that I needed the lens the very next day before 3pm as I was going away for the weekend to photograph a wedding. They quickly sent out a replacement and filed a claim with the carrier. All of the tough work was done on their end and thankfully I received my new lens right before I left for my trip as they shipped using overnight. Crisis averted!"

"I purchased an item that was mis advertised as working on Sony cameras. It did not work on mine (Sony A7ii) so I requested a return. First, I was told I would have to wait to see if Norman Camera would even approve my return (which I found insulting considering they were responsible for the mis advertising) but then they informed me they would not pay for the return shipping AND they would not accept it if I did not return it with insurance and a return receipt. These requirements cost me $15.05 (for a $95 item). Of course, I will not purchase anything from Norman Camera again, and I caution anyone, only purchase from them if you know for certain you will not need to return anything (or have to deal with customer service at all)!"
