"WOW...same one star response as the others..I agree, i should have read the reviews first, I will NEVER order from NITROPLANES again! the reviews are so true. The customer service is non existent, they cannot send the right parts, shipping price is outrageous, it takes multiple shipping orders to get it right, no one answers the phone, no expedited shipping when its their issue, its been 3/4 weeks no flying, BS. you are by far better off supporting your local hobby shop, the prices aren't that much different"

"I ordered a TechOne Yak 54 900mm ARF on 6/26. I recieved the shipment on 7/03. Everything was as advertised on their site. I have assembled the ARF and flown it. Everything works well. I am amazed at the number of bad reviews over very minor issues. What do people expect when ordering RC planes and electronics for less than half the price of LHS or established US mail order houses? Not only do they expect it to be cheap but they expect it to be high quality as well. Come on folks! Do you really think that not getting high end customer service over a bargain basement purchase is worth a one star rating? Did you ever stop to think why these products are so inexpensive? The guys at nitroplanes, hobbypartz and nitrorcx are making available some awesome values that make RC modeling very affordable for many of us. It embodies the very nature of the entrepenurial sprirt that makes the US such a great nation. So...... caveat emptor!"

"i bought the sky trainer airplane by dynam.it came in a more than reasonable amout of time ,looking in the box it was in great shape.after putting model together i noticed the motor would not stay running ,run a few seconds then stop.i then called customer service,maybe waited 15 minutes for a answer.they would not send me a motor before i returned the defective one, and i had to pay to ship it (only $2)but they did give a return number.then i read the reviews and thought i would never see a motor again i went ahead and ordered one ,but to my surprise it came in i guess about 2 weeks.in my opinion they should pay to return a defective product but i was happy and my plane flies really sweet in fact i ordered two more planes got them in everything seems to work but i also bought the flysky transmitter and one of the trim buttons only works in one direction so now i have pay to ship it back and wait for them to get it and then return one to me.that sucks but there planes and prices are great -shipping for the planes is a bit expensive though."

"I, too, am sorry that I did not do diligent research before sending these people nearly $200 for an airplane (Dynam PBY) art that is a piece of junk. I did read somewhere before I ordered that the electric motors may be mounted incorrectly. When I received my plane, first thing I checked the motors and both of them were poorly installed and pointed in different directions. They are bonded in so there is nothing I can do about this. Now comes the hard part. I have been getting the run around for over a week regarding my return of the model. If it were not for my two hundred dollars this would be laughable. Small children could be more competent than these people. I truly think they are trying to wear me down, stall me through the 30 day return period, or something along these lines, but I am having a nightmare dealing with these incompetents. I am reserving judgement on PayPal at this point as I always use them whenever possible to preclude problems just like this. In the nearly ten years I have used PayPal, I have had only two or three problems, which they ultimately fixed. I will try to call these people tomorrow (7/2) and see if that helps but I am not optimistic at this point."

"Sorry I didn't see this sight before we ordered.
Placed our first order on May 2 and it is now June 6th and still can't fly the Peaks Bi-Plane we bought from Nitroplanes. We also ordered a J3 cub from them and we were able to get it flying.
We found that the receiver and ESC is bad in the Peaks. First the receiver is on back order for 4-6 weeks so we go out and buy a new Radio and receiver from our local hobby shot and give that a try. That's when we find out that the ESC is bad also. Called or chatted with Nitro again and they said the ESC was in stock and would ship the next day. Well a week later and I decide to check on the status of our replacement parts. None have shipped. Was told today that they would both ship (today or tomorrow depending on how busy they are taking real orders).
I asked if they could expedite the shipment and they said unfortunately they could not.
We will have this plane over a month and still can't fly.
I picked it out and my wife ordered this for me for my birthday.
Unfortunately we will never be ordering from this outfit again. :)

"Order process failed online. Kept checking. Found that order was listed as "on Hold" had to make long distance call to California (no toll free number) was told they had called us (they hadn't- we have call i.d.) claimed there was no answering machine (there is) claimed they had sent us an email (they hadn't.) Combative and uncooperative customer service. You can tell when you've run into a real stinker and they are. BTW Obscenely high shipping costs."

"I would not buy from these guys. Customer service is non-existant.

I ordered a plane and some parts, and a 6 Channel receiver from them. They sent the wrong receiver (3 Channel) which would not work with any of the planes I have.

So I contacted them via the live chat on their website and "Chris" said he would promptly ship out the receiver with tracking. A week later... nothing. So go back on the chat, and said they would ship it out. Nothing again.

So I built the plane and the canopy of the plane (where you put the battery/receiver etc.) doesn't seat and there is a huge gap. No way I am going to fly this thing if the cover that holds the battery, receiver and electronics in is not all the way covered. Sent them e-mails, and more and nothing again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!

"I bought the concept pro X from nitroplanes.com, and As soon as I got it, I put it all together, and then after that, I left the glue get all dried up, then I started checking all my servos to make sure that they are all working in order, then I turned my throttle on, few secs after my throttle was on, the entire fan duct assembly went flying in my room, and then I took the cover off, and then it was all broken, and it was in hand when that happend. I sent nitroplanes an email on the spot explaining what happend, no one get back to me, then I emailed them again, no one got back to me, I called them multiple times and I had to wait for a long time and no one would answer me. POOR customer service, will never ever buy any planes from them again. Now I have to buy that duct fan for my plane and spend $19 for that with shipping- all to see if that plane would even fly good!!"

"Hi

I bought two air planes and both had problem .Small one problem with loose motor mount .Second one was USED and sold me as a brand new!!!! .I send them 3 emails and I got no response .If you want to contact with them it is REALLY difficult and you have to wait 5-10 min on hold .The second used air plane had no sticker in the box and previous user has removed from the air plane and a lots of damages .They didn't responed me by email .At the end I called them .They didn't believe me .They asked me for pictures !!.I sent them pictures .And again no response !!.When I called them, they talked with me rally cold and I asked for manager or superviser, answer was they are in the metting !!They don't care about there customers and they just think about sale and sale .I'm so disappointed about them.

"I have ordered multiple planes form Nitroplanes and never had a bad experience. I did one time receive a battery that was too low voltage, however only 2 minutes on the online chat and customer support had a new one on the way which worked perfectly. The lanes I have include the airfield 800mm P-51, 800mm T-28, 1400mm T-28, as well as many SKY, Gens Ace, and Blue Lipos. It is very convenient that they are located in the US, because shipping is fast, and relatively cheap. Its nice getting orders within a couple days, not weeks. A good site that I have no complaints with, and plan to order more from!"

"Almost 1.5 month I am still waiting for faulty parts to arrive.

I bought B25 bomber from Nitro on Jan 6. After assembling it I found that landing gear does not work (open/close randomly). One of the channel (CH1) did not work.

I attempted several times to get in touch with Nitro support over phone but even after waiting for 30 minutes I was never able to talk to them. Wait time for their online chat is minimum 15 minutes.

In my first chat session they agreed to send me required parts to fix landing gear and channel issue. But when I got the parts I found only servo and no receiver. So on Jan 15 I had a one more chat session and they promised to send receiver.

Today is Feb 17th, I am still waiting. My $329 airplane is lying in my garage. Nitro denied to take it back or exchange.

I tried to post a review on their website but they don't publish the review without filtering. That is why you see only 5 start ratings. In my opinion all of their review are fake.

"I am so sorry I didn't see these reviews before I bought my boyfriend his first RC airplane for Christmas; we chose a plane that was indicated as "ready to fly" and for "beginners"; to make a loooong story short, the plane wouldn't fly; a local hobby store told us the battery had a bad cell; we attempted to communicate with Nitroplanes via e-mail as we could NEVER get anyone to answer their CSR lines. They told us they would mail a new battery but have never done so and they have not answered any further e-mails; we bought another battery from them (didn't we learn the first time)in the hopes that we would be able to fly the plane but incredibly the new battery won't hold a charge. We're now out a little over $200 and have a "beginners" plane that we can't fly. We have attempted to contact Nitroplane on over a dozen occasions and have never ever gotten off "HOLD" to even speak with a live person. They have discontinued answering e-mail; I'm currently going to attempt to dispute this through my credit card company,notifying the BBB, and notifying the Attorney General's office in California. I absolutely hate rip offs and for the first time in a long time I'm the victim of highly unethical sales practices on the internet. Any suggestions of where else I should be reporting this company will be appreciated."

"Terrible customer service . Do not shop with Nitroplanes. I ordered a plane and quickly received it in the mail. I'm a intermediate RC flyer and know what's right and wrong. This plane had several issues and I knew enough that it wasn't airworthy so I didn't fly it. I called Nitroplanes thinking that they'd help me correct the problems but after an hour on hold they told me that other than ripping out the electronics and sending them back for replacement they wouldn't do anything. The electronics were only part of the problem. The fuselage, control rods, remote and on off switch were all defective. Yet no help from Nitroplanes. "
