She looked up my order and said "no problem", even tho the promo codes are not normally honored after the order is placed because they are honored by the manufacturer, not by Newegg. She said as a courtesy, she would send me a $15 Newegg gift card to make up for missing the promo code. I've ordered from Newegg often in the past, and have always been happy with the price, quick service, and more often than not, free shipping. This is the first time I have had to contact customer service and I feel Rosie went above and beyond what was required by her as the error was all my fault. "I have dealt with Newegg over the years and have had a decent experience with them each time. They have competitive pricing against other top tier sellers such as Amazon and Best Buy which is difficult this day in age. From Shell-Shocker deals to Mobile exclusives to even Daily Deals... It makes it very easy to keep your eyes peeled for things you may want/need tech related. Not only that but sometimes you have a chance to bundle the savings with promotional bonuses like a free subscription or free computer components with a specific bundle. This brings me to my last point of them honoring their specials and standing next to their name of being the best Tech seller out there. Made a purchase for a new PC build and not even 24 hours later seen one of my items had been issued a promotional deal with it. A short chat with Aina W. (Newegg Customer Service Rep.) later had enabled me to be grandfathered in to that deal. If that's not above and beyond customer service I don't know what is. She was very helpful with accurately identifying what item was discussed and worked with her inside time to ensure I could be a part of Newegg's awesome deals. By Newegg adding value to my purchase by getting me into that deal it made me feel valued as a customer with them. This was an overall very pleasant experience that definitely seals the deal for me coming back to Newegg for future purchases. After calling and speaking with customer service specialist Irene, her level of professionalism, confidence, and ability to go above and beyond; she was able to figure out an issue that would have most likely been unsolved.
My experience with this representative and her kindness and professionalism is the only reason I am willing to wait for a replacement order to arrive.
