Telephone support for downloading Photoshop Elements 2019

"I had a very difficult time downloading Elements on my own, so I called telephone support.

Frankie helped me through the process and even though we had to spread the time out over a couple of days (due to my schedule), she never forgot to call me back.

The error turned out to be mine, but she continued to be patient and stuck with me until I figured out the problem.

Been dealing with Newegg they give me the Phone number for the supplier a Chinese girl "Rose" LOL. Promised me that if I sent her an Email she would send me a shipping label. Did that. She said Newegg removed my email address and I should call a number in China and give them my email address and they will send me an email with the shipping label and I should open the enclosure immediately. I emailed my address again...No response. I called her number again, No answer. Thanks for being an honest store Newegg! I'm out my $144.00 and still don't have a graphics card!

Don't use their "ship to FedEx" option. You'll never see your order and they'll hold your money hostage.

"This is the first time I've used NewEgg's "ship to a FedEx center for pickup" option on shipping, as porch pirates have become a bigger deal.

Turned out that it's a total failure. I never got my package, and they won't reimburse me (or ship me new items at the same price) until the products that I have never seen arrive back at their warehouse.

Apparently my packages sat in the local FedEx office for more than a week and no one contacted me. NewEgg never let me know the packages had been shipped, and FedEx never let me know that they had arrived.

Today I found out that NewEgg canceled my orders, had them shipped them back, and won't reimburse me until the packages arrive at their warehouse. Not only that, I have to wait until the original order gets back to their warehouse before anything they've offered me in return -- some compensation for a more expensive delivery option and the ability to get the same price on a sale item that is no longer on sale -- could happen.

So both NewEgg and FedEx are to blame, but NewEgg has failed to offer me a solution that would get these items to me in a timely manner and they are holding my money hostage.

Even if I did re-order, apparently I would also have to jump through hoops to get the same price, as one item was a sale item that is no longer on sale.

I'm not even sure what they expect -- this was never explained clearly to me even though I asked more than once. I was told something about getting the customer service rep I contacted by chat to authorize it. But I don't think there's any chance of getting in touch with that person at the same time as I would be re-ordering from the website. (See below about what a nightmare it is to contact anyone at NewEgg.)

Anyway, NewEgg bungled and then canceled the order, not me. But I'm the one that is paying for this mess with lost time, in addition to not having the things I need.

The worst part about dealing with NewEgg is trying to get in touch with customer service. It's an absolute nightmare.

I tried calling their 800 number and also tried the chat option from their website.

Chat responded sooner, but it took 45 minutes to get a response. And that person didn't answer all the questions I had about the order.

Later, to try to get those questions answered, I also tried to use the callback service from customer support. They called me back an hour later than promised. All that person could do was tell me that I would eventually be reimbursed IF the packages -- that I have never seen or touched -- ever end up back in their warehouse.

Earlier, the chat rep had offered to reimburse me up to $20 for shipping in a different way if I re-order, but apparently I have to waste another afternoon getting in contact with them in order to get that plus the sale price.

That option also doesn't address the reason that I asked for FedEx pickup instead of home delivery in the first place.

So, summing all this up: NewEgg badly bungled this order, is literally throwing money away and is making me work to correct its mistake while holding my money hostage.

This whole episode is a textbook case on how to destroy a business.

It's clear that NewEgg -- the company -- does NOT value my business. NewEgg likely has lost me as a customer FOREVER.

"I just recently purchased a RTX 2070 with the battlefield 5 promotion. I had a few issues with the order and contacted their Facebook page. I want to like NewEgg, but have had a checkered experience

"I started on my first PC Build in late December and using PC Parts Picker as my guide, I went on a shopping spree that included several purchases from Newegg. On the ordering front, Newegg was convenient and deliveries were fairly quick. I can quibble with the packaging on some of the items (e.g. packing a Corsair CPU Cooler in a bubble wrapped envelope - twice!) but given that everything arrived in one piece, more thanks to the shipper than the seller. But I digress.

My beefs are with their fulfillment center, Memory Finder, Customer Service (CS), and the return process.

I had three interactions with CS this week.

1) Fulfillment Center beef:
I ordered 1ea. CPU cooler and a tube of upscale thermal paste and paid for 2 business day shipping. The CPU cooler arrived a day later than I had expected, and it did not arrive alone. No, the second item was not the thermal past - Instead, Newegg sent me two CPU coolers. (see above note about flimsy packaging). I called CS. The auto pilot told me that the wait would be 30 to 40 minutes and gave me the option to have them call me back. I opted thusly.

An hour and a half later, out to dinner with wife and kids, I finally received the return call. I told the CS rep that I wished to be a good Samaritan and return the second cooler, for which I was not charged. While on the phone with the CS rep, I mentioned that the paste had not yet arrived, and if it hadn't yet shipped, to cancel that order, since the cooler came with a little tube of the stuff.

The RMA was promptly sent in an e-mail, and I returned the second cooler (in a box).

2) Customer Service beef - ANSWER THE PHONE!
Five days after I placed the above order, I received an e-mail invoice from Newegg with a note that the thermal past had shipped. It arrived two days after that (7 days after paying for 2nd business day shipping).

Back to the phones to complain and make sure I could return the paste at no charge. The autopilot told me the wait would be 14 to 20 minutes. I was not given the option to request a call back. So, I held. And held. And held. An hour an 10 minutes later I gave up. Figuring it wasn't worth my effort for a $10 item.

3) Memory Finder and Return Process beef:
I ordered a $480 Corsair 64GB RGB RAM kit based, in part, on Newegg's Memory Finder matching it to my ASUS motherboard. The price was good, and Newegg had it in stock, so I ordered it. After the install, I could not get my PC to boot with any of these RAM sticks inserted in slots A1 or A2. Several calls to ASUS resulted in the verdict that the motherboard was ultimately the culprit. However, in the process of diagnosing the problem, ASUS pointed out that the RAM was NOT on their Qualified Vendors List QVL.

I replaced the motherboard and tried the RAM on it. It seemed to work, but I got antsy because of ASUS's caveat that the RAM was untested and could they couldn't guarantee that it would always work. So, being a newbie with more money than sense, I decided to trade up to a faster and more expensive kit that WAS on the QVL.

I went to the Newegg website and ordered the new RAM kit (nearly $900). I immediately started the return process on the non QVL RAM and saw a $70 restocking fee along with $10 shipping charge. I flipped back to the order to cancel it. Five minutes TOPS from the time I ordered the RAM, it was too late to cancel. (My thinking was, I'll keep the old RAM until it fails and spare myself at least $980.)

I saw that the website said the wait for CS was only a minute, so called. Surprise, surprise, surprise! I got straight through. So, I gave the CS rep a piece of my mind about the restocking charge. To his credit, Bryan Wood kept his cool and worked with me to resolve the problem. He also apologized about the long waits on the phone, explaining them away as a post holiday flood of calls. It's a longer story than I'll relate here (who the heck is still reading this anyway?), so I'll cut to the chase. Bryan sent me an RMA for the RAM and promised that when it was received, I would not be charged for restocking, though I still had to pay shipping. The order for the replacement RAM was already on the way. All good? Not quite.

I received an email a few minutes later telling me that the newly ordered RAM was not in stock. Order cancelled. Back to Amazon.

I guess I'm spoiled by my decades long history as an Amazon Prime member, but when I call Customer Service, I don't expect to be on hold for over an hour, without the option to have the vendor call me back. And, I don't expect to be charged for restocking or returning items that were defective or - as in this - incompatible.

I was happy to find a vendor for computer parts to keep Amazon honest, but all things being equal (price and availability wise), Amazon's hassle free return policy will get my order every time.

I haven't written Newegg off, but we're not off to the best of beginnings.
