"First, I am not an herb, seed or spice expert, so I cannot attest to the authenticity of the products with that kind of expertise. What I can attest to is the price, prompt shipment, and seemingly authentic products. I know people worry these days about getting what they order, so I want to be upfront with my review.

I wanted to try some "Black Seed", otherwise known as Nigella Sativa, in my diet.

My Spice Sage had the Best Price that I could find anywhere on the internet or in stores that carried the spice.

There was a bonus code that day for a free pound of coarse Himalayan Salt, which I have used for years, with a $25 purchase.

While checking out, there was a choice of 1-ounce sample spices.

The order had FREE SHIPPING, as advertised.

My order SHIPPED IMMEDIATELY, meaning I ordered it Saturday night and the very next regular USPS working day (Monday morning), it was already in the system and I had an email with tracking information. It arrived on Wednesday.

My package arrived in a USPS Priority box.

ALL of the spices, including the sample, came in sealed, heavy-duty plastic bags, with RESEALABLE closures. I would equate them with any of today's deli meat packages; you simply tear across at the notch, leaving the "ZipLock" closure just below the tear line.

I ordered 5 pounds of the Nigella Sativa. I received 5 One-pound bags of Nigella Sativa. I thought that was excellent, because many other places send large bags, that don't have resealable closures, and there's always the concern about freshness, moisture from humidity, etc. affecting spices, especially if they arrived in a single bag.

The free One-pound bag of Himalayan Salt and the free One-ounce Sample Spice were also enclosed. While I am not a spice expert, I can attest that the Himalayan Salt looked as good as that which I've purchased over the years from a company that only sells Himalayan Salt.

There was an air-bag snugly inserted atop the bags so that they did not move.

All-in-all, it was a 5-Star experience for Price, Promptness, Packing and Product.

I don't know if the Nigella Sativa will live up to its reputation, but I do know that based on this first experience with My Space Sage, that I will continue to check their prices first on any products that I need."

"This company used to be great but they have gone downhill in recent years. I placed an order for herbs and they were shipped in a padded mailer that arrived completely open. First, food that is packaged in soft plastic should not be shipped in padded mailers because of the potential for perforation/contamination. Also, the padded mailer was way too small - everything was crammed in so tightly it was difficult to remove. I notified the company and they sent a replacement order. They said it would ship in a box this time. Guess what? My replacement herbs arrived in ANOTHER open padded mailer that was way too small for the items. Their quality control and shipping practices leave a lot to be desired. I won't be ordering again and it's a shame because their herbs are decent."
