If I fall in love with in item but they are out of stock, ModCloth will do their best to bring it back & will inform you immediately if it is. (A button is provided "I Need It!" And they will e-mail you when that item comes back in your size) Their customer service is seriously phenomenal! I ordered some adorable earrings and one little bead was missing, not a huge deal, but that same day I emailed customer service they promptly refunded my money and apologized. Returns are fast & easy, and while browsing there are plenty of customer reviews to read if youre skeptical about an item....while some merchandise is way out of my price range, TONS of items go on sale daily at very reasonable prices. Sure, there have been a few problems some of the products I've received, but besides the fact that I've had bough many beautiful clothing from them they also make it so easy to return if necessary. This time I got a defected item and since they didn't have another one to replace it with, they reimbursed my within 24 hours from the moment I sent them an email.
Not to mention that they didn't even ask for the defected item back- which saved me the trouble of mailing it back.

"Y'all, online shopping is hard, especially if you're not a size 2. I'm one of those people who likes to see it on (in an overly lit dressing room), text pictures to my best friends to see what they think about it, and then walk around the store with the clothes in hand while I debate before inevitably buying it anyway. But the clothes on ModCloth are SO cute that I don't mind buying it, waiting for it to arrive, and hoping for the best. And to be honest, it doesn't always work. I'm on the chubbier end of curvy (and I ROCK it, don't get me wrong), but they make returns SO easy. I've had to contact customer service a couple times, once because a tiny pair of earrings got left out of my order, and once because a purse I bought broke. You'd think these would be reasons to be upset, but the folks in customer service are just SO great and SO willing to help and make whatever's wrong, right. The earrings got overnighted to me, and Jen Sw. gave me several options for the purse. I could not possibly be happier with this company."

"I am 50/50 on this company. I have received items that were defective or poorly made, but I love their Soda Fountain dress. It's beautiful and comfy. Their customer service agents are always polite and friendly, but don't chat them unless you want to wait around for 45 minutes. It's easier to email or call. Also, their return process is way too long. I mailed an item back 2 weeks ago and it is still in route back to them. What keeps me coming back it the style of their clothes."
"I have had two recent experiences that have proved to me what a truly great company Modcloth is, and how great their customer service is!
First, I purchased a Colette Sewing pattern from Modcloth. And the very next day it went on sale! Needless to say, I was very sad, I messaged customer care and asked if I could get a store credit for the difference, They immediately refunded me for the difference!!
My second experience was pretty dramatic! I was making a purchase, and at checkout they asked if I wanted to put it on my default card (my debit card), I cllcked no, since my bank account was low, and proceeded to put it my credit card info.
Well, shortly after I recieved a notification from my bank letting me know I had overdrafted and would be charged a $35 fee.
I called Modcloth's 24/7 Customer Care and explained, The two ladies I talked to were so apologetic and kind. They refunded me in full, and sent me my order for free!
My bank didn't charge me a fee, and all was well with the world.
This company has, by far, the best customer service. Although a mistake was made, they were quick to correct it and were so kind about it all. Not to mention, I was so pleased with my purchases!!!
Overall, a great company with great customer service, and quality products.

"My experience with Modcloth has been complete and utter disappointment and disaster. The first incident was when they oversold a skirt I had wanted, and then told me they would refund the full, presale amount. They only refunded me the sale amount, minus a portion of the coupon I had applied. I can understand if that's policy, but the person I had dealt with did not offer any sort of explanation as to why I was told one thing, and yet another thing happened, and did nothing to appease me at all.
Then, when I got my package, it was someone else's order all together. The packing slip was correct, but the customs declaration form also had the skirt they oversold on it. Basically, on every level, Modcloth had failed.
I sent Modcloth a detailed email about what happened, and at first, I was really pleased with what they told me. They said I'd get a full refund, have the dress I ordered sent to me free of charge (besides a small postage fee). They then also told me I'd have to pay for the shipping of their mistakes, and that they'd refund me later. Then, when my "free" dress came, it also came with a $30.40 postage fee. I rejected it. I'm just tired of this company, everything about my experience has been riddled with incompetence."

Not only are they stockists of lovely products and have a very user-friendly website, but they publish all customer reviews, even the negative ones and give customers the option to put their measurements in their reviews. This is extremely helpful in finding products that will work for you. When they send things out, they are very carefully packaged and ModCloth often includes a free gift! The Be the Buyer program is wonderful. ModCloth really believes in building a good relationship with their customers. Their customer service is wonderful. Always available and always willing to help you or offer alternative solutions when things don't work out!"
"Modcloth.com is my absolute favorite site for clothing, hands down no questions. The stuff they have on there is amazing- great quality and very quirky and always reasonably priced. But that's only the beginning! They have such detailed information about the fabric and fit that it makes online shopping really easy- I've been reluctant to buy online in the past becasue of issues with fit but I find that buying things that look great on me is really easy becasue of all the 'details' they list online.
They also have INCREDIBLE customer service, I've only had one minor issue and they sorted it out immediately in a really friendsly way. It's just made me feel even more comforatble buying from here as I trust that any problems I have will be solved easily.
I've just risked buying my first pair of shoes from here- I am kind of hoping they don't fit because once I work out the correct ModCloth shoe size I will lose a lot of money!"
