It doesn't help anything that some savvy marketer decided that each anniversary would have a "theme." These ridiculous themes like "Wood," or "Things on fire" pigeonhole you into this horrible nightmare scenario where you have to search high and low for a decent gift that represents hippopotamuses.
Flowers is an easy one, right? Sure if your not married to someone who cherishes mementos. If you're a married guy, trust me, you're not married to THAT person because you ARE that person. No marriage gets two; that's too easy
What the heck could I find that wasn't going to be a rotting pile of vegetation in a week? I can't give her a plant that she has to keep alive; that's a chore, not a gift.
Then it hit me: a painting of her bridal bouquet. It was the last time she hadn't been exposed to my singing. Or jokes. Or snoring. The perfect moment would make the perfect gift, but who could I trust? I read review after review and chose Maven Art, and believe me - I'm thrilled. Except for one thing: how do I follow that up?
