"I’ve started using Mailordercomics.com to get back issues of comics that my local comic store doesn’t have in stock. I like the ease of the site for locating the issues I need. It really isn’t as much of a hassle as I’d have expected. The only real downside is having to wait to actually read the comics I order."

"I first heard of the store when they were giving away mailordercomics.com clicky pens. That was a long time ago.

What's good is that you can get very good discounts on new merchandise. I think I save over 30 bucks for that month after all expense instead of cover price.

I do find their variant system a bit annoying. I'm not a retailer so I have no use for 20 copies of the reg. cover for the variant. I think they should sell a limited quantity of the variants at a slightly higher price. Obviously, I understand that the store does not want excess of the reg. covers. But like I said I have no use for 20 copies or so of so and so.

Packing is wrapped good and Styrofoam. But it can sometimes be dented due to how soft everything is. I think wrapping the comics between hard congruent cardboard to be more efficient. and maybe some styrofoam. It's excessive as the styrofoam can fill up one full plastic supermarket bag per one monthly delivery. That's a lot.

Overall it's fine as long as you remember everything is two months advance. I do realize if I place a May preorder in March, in May they toss in a few Free comic book day books. That's really swell of them.

Overall I think they are worth it. True you may have to put up with a dent here and there. They do give replacements. I try not to do this so they don't think I want extras. But sometimes they do get beat up.
