"They sold us a mouse and waited four days after taking our money to cancel the order, claiming it was no longer available. Now, a week later, it's still available on their website, and they have yet to refund our processing costs."

"I paid to Mac Pro Systems & Software, Inc for a Mac Laptop, using PAYPAL as they required it 3 days ago.
They never said anything until yesterday I call them and they hang on me three times.
Finally after 20 or 30 minutes on the phone, they said, ok we are going to ship. That was 5:30 pm
Ten minutes later they send an email to me saying that please call them back again.
I call them by 7:30pm and they inform me that they could not ship to an "address not confirmed"
They have been unable to tell me who told them my address is "not confirmed".
PAYPAL have both of my addresses confirmed, my bank have my addresses confirmed, my credit cards have my addresses confirmed.
I have been using 2 addresses for 10 months. Dual shipping address with no problem.
Now I’m screwed.
I want to complaint about this company and force them to fulfill and honor the transaction I completed 100% with their conditions.
I need the stupid computer right away.

"I wished I read the other and now I know to be very accurate reviews the others had written. These guys should call themselves Mac Amateur.

My initial order was on 9/21 and requested overnight and the first card got here the next day. Great. But it didn’t work. I spoke with Ed who suggested I return it and I would receive a replacement. I returned it – via overnight express – and it was confirmed to be there the next day - Friday 9/24.

I then assumed (incorrectly) the replacement card was on its way that day and I’d have a new one by Monday 9/27. After a couple of days passed and my Fed Ex truck came and went, I called in on Wednesday 9/29 to ask if they were sending it. They finally agreed. I got the new card on 9/30. This card is also DOA – no video. It was also evident that this card was used. The back corner of the board was warped and curled.

Still no resolve to this latest debacle. Ed replied saying they have been sending me a Mac Pro card all along - not the PowerMac G5 card I need - and they would take care of me. Yet saying that, and now that I'm $120 deep in overnight charges, he didn't send a replacement.

Would never recommend these guys in a million years. I should have stuck with We Love Macs - where I got the last working card. Don't be fooled by the lower price at Mac-Pro. It's also lower quality all around.

"DO NOT by from Mac Pro! This company made a mistake and shipped my order to the WRONG ADDRESS! Now I am in the middle of fighting with them to either get the product or a refund. The customer service representative has been extremely rude. I had to contact the BBB to help me with this company. What a horrible experience. This company wants me to pay for the mistake it made."

"Fraudulent AppleCare purchased did not work! Got no refund!

I purchased 2 AppleCares, one for MacBook and one for Apple Display. Both did not work as Apple did not recognize them.

Told it was my problem. I was told Apple did not recognize my customer's name, "Lola." I was told to send invoices to Apple. I spoke with Robert and Ed Ajlouny and was told coldly that it was my problem.

I purchased from eBay but spent the year sending some 50 emails to Mac-Pro instead of reporting them for fraud to eBay and Paypal.

Now they listed me with eBay so I cannot give them negative feedback.

I bought 2 AppleCares that did not work. That is Mac-Pro.

"Wow. I don't know if I can fully describe quite how crappy this company is.

The story goes like this: I order a used 2.16 Core 2 Duo MacBook from www.macproonline.com (owned by Mac-Pro) because they accept PayPal, and because it comes with Snow Leopard and iLife 09. I emailed a few times with a guy named Evan to make sure that this MacBook could hold a total of 4 GB of RAM and that I they could send the package signature-required (I live in the city). Evan promised me all was well. The first issue happened almost immediately. Their website claims most order received before 6PM would get shipped that day. I ordered at 4:20 PST on Thursday. It was Monday before my order was even assigned a tracking number. I sent them a kind email saying that I know sometimes things don't go as planned, and that it fine with me, but asking if they could please give me maybe a ballpark estimate as to when I should expect the computer to arrive. I got nothing back for two days, so on Wednesday I called Mac-Pro. The lady who picked up the phone asked who I ordered the computer from, which I found a bit strange. I got transferred to the shipping department before I could even finish my second sentence. The guy there was actually helpful, saying that they screwed up the FedEx label somehow, and that the package had really been assigned two tracking numbers, and that I should be looking for a different one. I still don't quite understand what he was talking about, but I used the new tracking number and found the computer was already in my town, and would be going out for delivery the next day.

Well, the package got here, and there was a computer inside, but I still don't think it is my computer. The screen size and the CPU are just about the only things that match the description of the computer I bought. Strangely, most everything was better than what I ordered. Bigger hard drive, more RAM installed, iWork installed (I was told it would not be), and a black Speck hard case attached. Of course, what I didn't notice until that night was that the computer can only hold a total of 2 GB of RAM (according to the System Profiler!), not 4 GB as was promised to me. Was I being bribed with these upgrades? I tried emailing Evan, the guy who initially lied to me, and got nothing for several days. I emailed a generic sales and service address, and had an ongoing conversation with Ed Ajlouny, during which I probably wrote a book's worth of material, and got three or four sentences back.

I was much nicer than I usually am in this kind if a situation, and asked simply for an explanation regarding the fact that I received a totally different computer. I asked why his sales guy would lie, which got no response. I asked why my machine was upgraded and if he lost money on the deal: no response. I told him that my System Profiler said this machine can only hold 2 GB RAM: no response. He replied with things like "I think your sources are incorrect." and "Install 4 GB and you will see." and "Your information is all wrong. Your machine supports 4 GB RAM. Guaranteed." I asked what his guarantee meant, which of course also got no reply. the quotes I typed contain all of his correspondence except one sentence, which was "What leads you to believe that it only holds 2 GB Ram, all Core 2 Duo go up to 4 GB of Ram." So there you have Ed's cryptic, useless emails in their entirety.

Luckily the machine is working fine so far. I would dread sending it back to them. I really don't mind the deep, black gouges on the bottom because I got a "free" case. I would probably cut my losses and sell it for parts and buy a new machine if it ever stopped working. Never, never again will I talk to these people.

"Ordered an iMac power supply from Mac-Pro Systems listed as "Condition: New" on their website, however the part received was not new, it had a circular wear mark on the power supply where the iMac case screw makes contact over a long period of time (I can tell, I see it on my original power supply!). They replied that they receive them new from Apple.

I have requested that Mac-Pro Systems provide original scanned records of the invoice/packing slip of their order from Apple to back-up their statement. If the power supplies are refurbished, OK, then advertise them as such, do not mislead the public!

I await a reply. So far they have responded to my one email and phone call.

"Add me to the list of people burned by these guys. They sent me software clearly marked 'Not For Resale'. Apple confirmed this illegal software. Also, I paid for Priority Mail and they shipped via regular mail.

My request for a refund got a rude response from Mike Ajlouny: "All Legal, and our shipping policy clearly states we reserve the right to ship any way we see fit. You should read it, and enjoy your huge savings.  Next time you should pay full retail instead of harassing fine people over a few bucks."

Well, it's not legal (confirmed this with Apple) and I *did* read their shipping policy and there's nothing of the sort on it.

Within a couple of hours of Ajlouny's email, Mac-Pro removed the iLife 09 version from their website and is now just selling the boxed set.

"Worst online Mac store I've ever dealt with. Sold me a very expensive powerbook without the RAM they claimed it would have and with a damaged screen. They refused to fix the screen but sent me the missing RAM. In the course of everything they treated me like dirt, constantly shuffling me from one clueless staller to another. Mike is mentally defective with the morals of a snake.
One thing customers should know is that though their web site lists them in San Diego, they are really in Oregon or Washington.
Spread the word and stay away

Complaint ID: 254800
Complaint Classification:
Complaint Description - Posted 9/1/2006
I had the power supply replaced on my Apple G5 Dual 1.8 Tower computer after it blew out
by Mac Pro on Blossom Hill Road, San Jose on 8/1/06. My G5 was in pristine condition and
running fine, having never been worked on, except for adding memory and an extra hard
drive. After a few days at Mac Pro, Mac Pro technician Lach Khiatani, called and said it was
fixed. I brought it home and plugged it in. It booted up, but the fans were blowing full blast,
and then it shut itself down after 10 minutes. It did that 8 times. The computer was not fixed.
The next day I brought it back to Mac Pro again. They now had my G5 for 2 weeks. This
time I called Lach, the Mac Pro tech, and again he said it was fixed, and that it needed no
thermal calibration. I took the G5 home again. I plugged it in, saw the same problem, but
now the Ethernet port was not working. The next day, I took my G5 into the Valley Fair
Apple Store, (at the suggestion of one of the Mac Pro employees) to have them check it
out, and do a thermal calibration. They called me a day later with the bad news. They saw
an extensive amount of damage, and estimated that it could cost over $1000 to repair the
damage done by Lach and Mac Pro Systems. They also took pictures. Needless to say, I
have started building a legal case against Mac Pro. Mac Pro says I signed a release from
damages, but when I signed that, I expected and understood damage to mean a bent
screw, scratch, dent, taped wire, or other cosmetic damage...not completely destroyed.

This is from the San Jose BBB. This is an official response from Mac Pro Systems owner, Mike Ajlouny.

Company's Response

Company's Initial Response - Posted 02/24/2009
We are not responsible for his computer failure. He signed a customer authorization stating Mac Pro is not responsible for any data loss or damage incurred during the repair. We are not even sure the damage happened while in our possession. It was an old computer prone to defects. Thank you, Mike Ajlouny
Initial Response Summary

Consumer's Rebuttal

Consumer's Rebuttal - Posted 02/24/2009
Lach and Mike are liars. My Mac G5 only needed a new power supply. They damaged it beyond repair while trying to "fix" it, and then lied about it being fixed. Twice. I then took it to the Apple Store, and they said there was extensive damage caused by the Mac Pro technician trying to remove the burned out power supply. They even took pictures and showed me the damage. I emailed Mike and he was totally rude, not taking any responsibility for his technician ruining my computer. There were broken stand offs, bent heat sinks, and possibly a broken mother
board. The computer was working fine until the power supply burned out. They knew that, and that is why they lied to cover up their incompetent technician, Lach. The Apple G5 Dual 1.8 computer was only 2 years old, and in pristine condition. It was ruined, and they tried to cover it up and say that they were not responsible, because of their stupid paper. I signed that because I trusted them with my $1700 computer. I wouldn't mind scratches, dents or whatever, but the
computer was ruined. They ruined it, and lied about it. Why else would tell me that my computer was fixed and running fine? Mac Pro is the worst business I have ever dealt with.

Company's Final Response

Company's Final Response - Posted 02/26/2009
Again, crying and complaining about a broken computer is just silly. Your power supply was broken, how do you know something else was not broken at the same time. You don't know that for sure, and we don't know that for sure, but we work on hundreds of these and we know what we are doing. We sell that unit now for as little at $599 complete. Your claim once again is silly and unwarranted. We have you sign a release when you bring it in for good reason. It was designed for people with broken computers to not blame us for their broken computers.

"I contacted the seller late yesterday to purchase a logic board for my 2004 20" 1.8ghz iMac. The sales person was very helpful and answered all of my technical questions. I then purchased the part online. It turned out I did not need the part after all, so contacted the seller this morning to cancel my order - the order was cancelled immediately. Shortly thereafter, I received an email credit from PayPal with a complete refund.

I have to admit that after reading the other reviews, I was hesitant to buy through Mac Pro Systems and Software. But they provided excellent customer service and were very prompt. I will order from them again. 5 stars!

"No response from a week's worth of emails to their supposed "Customer Service" contact, Mike. I called them to inquire about my order and they left me on hold for 10 minutes while transferring me back and forth between 3 different people, only to tell me that the item was not available and had been reordered. No estimate on shipping time, now 3 weeks from order date and no response to my update requests. I have no idea why they even have a website -- if they can't respond to legitimate orders/requests, they need to get out of the online game and stick to their brick-and-mortar business.

Since I am on a time-schedule (rebuilding a client's computer), I told them that I needed to know a time or I'd have to cancel my order. They said I could either wait without knowing when it would arrive, or I could respond to the original invoice email with a "Cancel Request." It's kind of hard to believe that they'd cancel my order if they can't even respond to my multiple emails even a week later.

I would NOT recommend this company unless you enjoy trusting your credit card with a suspicious company who has poor business ethics and customer service. STAY AWAY.
