BEWARE - Uses tricks to get around Amazon's system.

BEWARE OF THIS SELLER. I purchased a $4,000 television and they UPS 2-Day air'ed me a PIECE OF PAPER saying that the shipment will be sent separately. However, they put that tracking number as my order tracking, so in Amazon's system, it shows delivered and the order as complete. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I called their customer service and the guy answered the phone like he's in his living room. He barely speaks English and starts on some story that the TV was damaged, so I was sent an invoice instead.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Prashant, he contacted me about the actual shipment and cancelation of my order. He sent me evidence of the refund. Once I confirm the order is refunded in full and the funds hit my account, I will edit this review. He also acknowledged that the other employee telling me the TV was damaged was not truthful.

Terrible - never delivered the TV and did not refund money

"I ordered a TV from Modia via Amazon. They never delivered the TV, the charged my credit card as if they did, they stated on Amazon that they delivered the TV but all they delivered was an invoice and letter. I cancelled the order and requested a refund but have not received my money back. Seems like a scam. Recommend you avoid them."

"Do not buy from this dishonest seller. I tried to buy a samsung 4k tv from them through amazon.com and it was a complete nightmare. I placed the order and Someone from Modia called me and said that the listing was a mistake because they no longer had the tv in stock. They said i had to cancel the order in order to receive a refund. I thought that was weird so i started an inquiry into it through amazon a-z guarantee. When i did that i received several calls from modia daily asking me to withdraw my amazon claim. The claim was apparently hurting their amazon seller rating pretty dramatically. When i would not agree they told me that they somehow found the tv i wanted at another location and that theyd ship it to me immediately. At this point i thought everything had been worked out and i withdrew my claim once i received a shipment confirmation email. They next day modia called me and said that the tv was completely damaged during shipping and since they did not have any more of that tv model they had no choice but to refund my money. I cant prove theyre lying but the situation seems sketchy at best. So buyer beware when shopping at and dealing with modia. "

"SCAM!!! I ordered a Sony 50" LED 3D Smart TV and when it was delivered via UPS I inspected the box and it was I great shape with no holes or dents. When my wife got home we took it out of the box to find the screen was cracked on top center. Called Modia and they said no refund it was my fault I should have had the UPS driver help me remove the TV from the box? So I'm out $900, I have filed complaints with the BBB and Attorney General but I'm sure I'll never see my money!! Can't wait for this company to go out of business, I'm also filing a complaint with the IRS to have them perform an audit!"

"I ordered a Denon AVR. Package arrived 2 days before scheduled arrival date with standard shipping, sweet! I did have, what I perceived to be issues with the receiver but after some troubleshooting and research, I was able to correct the issues on my own. It seems this AVR requires more ventilation than any other I've owned and it is a bit sensitive in that respect. Proper ventilation fixed the issues. I was concerned with the amount of negative reviews for MODIA, but I will say my order shipped ahead of schedule, works fine, and was a good price. So that all has to add up to a 5 star review on my transaction. Based off of other reviews however, I think I'd be hesitant to purchase TV from MODIA."

"Initially, I was very please with the quick responses and shipping of the product from MODIA.

This feeling instantly changed when I received a sealed package with an old, opened product inside. I figured that it would still work fine, but boy was I wrong. When I went through the parts that were included, I realized that there were some parts missing and other parts in the package that should not have been. I reached out to MODIA and they apologized, promised a new product and informed me that when they had confirmation of the return from FEDEX, they would ship the new product to me. I went to FEDEX with the information they gave me to make the return, only to find out they gave me the wrong information. I had to get on the phone with MODIA while at FEDEX just to get told that I was wrong and they were right. Finally, I had the FEDEX representative talk to the MODIA representative to figure out the account number to send it from. Unfortunately, the FEDEX representative even had to get snappy with the MODIA representative because the MODIA rep had NO CLUE what he was talking about.

A few weeks had passed since I returned my item and I still had not received the new product. I, once again, called MODIA just to hear that the product was now on back order. They informed me that I would receive it in a week, this happened 3-4 times before I told them to return my money and cancel my order. I informed MODIA that I had pictures of the package that was sent to me and would be positing our e-mail correspondence along with the pictures online because of the poor service I received. This prompted them to offer me the product for free ($99.00 product). I agreed and told them I would not leave the pictures or comments on the review sites. MONTHS passed by and still nothing. At this point, they had deleted my order number and neglected to come through with their promises. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY.

"Purchased a two Samsung TVs at store 7/22/12 at 4415 North Central Expressway Dallas TX for some reason did not have in stock (should have been a red flag) but promised delivery of both 7/26/12 One arrived as promised the other I have been given a run around today 08/02/2012 still no TV have called store I get the "its your not are fault, its Samsungs'" Very disappointed in thier service ~ Extermely unprofessiaonal ~ Would recommend you try another brink & mortar if not go on line ~ "

"modia is a GREAT company to work with....these guys stayed so on top of my order...they really cared even after the sale. sometimes, when ordering on line, you loose that personal touch, you don't know where the product is coming from, or event if it's going to get to you....well..not with them. they stayed in constant communication, they made special preperations, and they delivered EARLY!!! i can not stress enough that if you are ordering home theater equipment of any kind use MODIA!!! i know for all my future purchases..i will!!!!"
