"I've been buying from Maxgroup for at least 5 years and I am disappointed in them in that they seem to carry some very old inventory that once in a while gets dumped on the unsuspecting. I bought 12 cases to build 10 PC's for a bid for my customer and the cases did not support USB and the power supplies did not support Sata power. I got what I thought was a good price on 12 seagate sata drives of which I had to RMA 5 of them, I also RMA'd 2 of the motherboards, 2 of the cases. I had not made a purchase in about a year when Lisa called and asked for my business again.

I am building a server for a client and the components that I would get from maxgroup come to $1700. 3rd generation i7 and 2011 motherboard. I called my client to tell them the parts arrived and I will call when their system is built and burned in.

I ordered a Retail box cpu which should come with a cpu and here I am jumping through hoops to find a 2011 cpu fan at the last minute while my customer is calling to see when their system is ready. To make matters worse the motherboard will not post with the cpu, ram and motherboard purchased from them.

"Worst distributor of all time!
This distributor does not even answer customer emails regarding RMA. In fact, it's been more than a year and they have not given us credit for our RMA. We were told we'd have to order again and the credit will be used for the next order. Well, we did, but still our credit was not used. We are still waiting for them to return our money. It's not even $100 and we have no idea when or if they are even intending on even giving us our credit. Don't ever use MAXGROUP! for your own sake. They are really the worst reseller/distributor!!!

I am not happy with my service with Max Group.
First, I have had three different sales persons in only 8 months time. One of which did not know what RAM was.

My biggest complaint is with RMA's.
In the middle of December 2000, we shipped back a 17" monitor that lost color all of a sudden. (It was only 4 months old). We were sent a replacement in the End of Jan 2001, after calling about it serveral times. The replacement monitor had a black spot in the middle of the screen. We called to get it replaced. Spoke with a manager finally. It is now March 13th, 2001 and we STILL do not have a replacment!! We had to buy a new monitor from a different company to give our clint.

This is just one of serveral bad experiences with returns gone bad. My most current one: I have two memory modules that went bad. I did all the paper work, send copies of the packing list, got my RMA #, and sent them off for replacement. A week later i got the package returned because they said the serial numbers did not match the packing list. WEll, There ARE NOT serial numbers on my copy of the packing list for these memory modules. We are not a large company and do not buy that many parts. When we receive a shipment we mark it with a little white sticker with the company, date, and invoice number to make it easier for us to do returnes when parts go bad. This matter has yet to be resolved.

I would suggest doing business with this company. Returnes are too difficult for small computer companies like ours."

"I think I am up to around 7 orders from MaxGroup in the last year. They have the best prices on the web for CDRW Drives, DVD Drives and Keyboards. I have been very satisfied with Max Group's service and with the speed that they ship to me. I had one floppy drive malfunction out of all of the items that I have bought from them. The price was so good that it wasn't worth doing an RMA on it. These people have worked hard for and deserve my business. I will continue to use Maxgroup in the future and advise you to at least try them out.. For those who don't your loss is definitely my gain..
