"I have purchased pool chemicals from PoolSupplies.com for a few years now, always good prices and fast shipping, but this product I am very disappointed with. Product #481339 - Deluxe Solar Reel for Pools up to 21' Wide. I feel the add is a little bit deceiving as it leads one to believe the entire reel is stainless when in reality the tube is a very thin aluminum not much thicker than a commercial grade downspout, it sags way to much in the center. There are 12 provided machine screws for the tube, only three holes are drilled and only through the outer tube not through the inner tube. You will need to drill and tap the other 9 holes for the machine screws to hold the sections of the tubes together. The wheels are not the wheels advertised or pictured, the wheels I received I have seen on lower priced reels. The wheels and the crank handle are held on by cheap push on caps, they will not last the season. The end supports are stainless and seem to be the only parts made well, I have wait to see if they rust. This product is made in china and it shows. Nothing will ever be made like it was in the USA in the past, I remember not wanting to purchase items made in Japan because of the quality, items made in china are far worse, I never thought I would be hoping for products to be made in Japan again. I am not sure how I feel about purchasing anything but chemicals from PoolSupplies.com in the future."
"We purchased a top of the line winter cover for our above ground pool and had it delivered ahead of our need for it by about a month. Once installed, the cover was allowing water from the pool to seep through the seams. Multiple phone calls and e-mails later and I have been told that water seepage is "normal" and we are outside our 30 day window for a return. Never had a winter cover allow water out of my pool, also allowing water and debris in and NEVER had the level of rude, inconsiderate people trying to tell me that their defective product was "normal" NEVER AGAIN!"

I don't know why my husband continues to buy from them. We have purchased 3, count them 3, WINTER pool covers from them. The first two had 5 year warranties. 1 lasted 2 seasons, 1 lasted only 1 season. They refused to honor the warranty stating first that the covers must not have been stored properly. I brought to their attentionthat FIRST the first cover lasted only one season and SECOND, my husband has OCD and goes above and beyond their suggestions for cleaning and storage. They then said the 5 year warranty only covered grommets and seams. They talked my husband into purchasing the 15 year cover stating it was the best cover and had a better warranty. It got holes in it the first season. Again they refuse to honor the warranty.
They sell you products that are in the catalog but ship you crappy items they have chosen to replace them with but neglect to tell you of the product switch.
They NEVER ANSWER THEPHONE nor do they ever return phone calls.
I will order our pool supplies from here on out from a different vendor. I'm so done. "
"I made a warranty claim when my solar cover started to shred after 1 1/2 yrs. It came with an 8 year warranty. They agreed that it was covered by the warranty. Then they insisted that I pay nearly $85 for shipping and “pro ration” coverage. The cover originally cost $107 including tax and shipping. They are basically giving me a $22 discount. "

That being said heres my experience with this rip of company!Ordered a 1600 series pool cover like I had a couple years back. This is the 3rd pool cover in less than 5 years that I have ordered from your company. Even though my last one didnt even last 3 years I was given a discount and decided to order another one. Upon delivery I immediately noticed that the cover wasnt as heavy as my previous one. Also, when I opened it? It was much thinner & it had been cut to narrow at the ends... Mind you this is the 3rd one I have ordered from your company. I immediately called the company and started asking questions about why it was cut weird & why it was so thin & not as heavy as my previous one? The customer service rep said that people were complaining about how heavy the old ones were. Was also told that you are the same company but they are using a different product. He also said that it's still clear so it will still heat the pool. What??? Till that point I assumed that you had just sent me the 1200 series instead of the 1600 because I have had both & went with the 1600 because its heavier & due to the wind in my area & it heats better & retains heat better! After hearing the rep say that your company is using a different, less heavy,thinner material? I'm upset!! 16 mils is 16 mils?? I could have spent have the money for the cheaper series & it would have been the same thing as I have! I Called back and spoke with a different person 5 days later when I finally received an email from you guys and she told me that she has never heard of people complaing about the weight of the product & never heard that this is why its thinner material & not as heavy? She did say that the pool cover suppliers that your company uses now has better technology to make a thinner material due to the outrageous shipping charges it costs to ship them. She said this has nothing to do with your company. I told her Thats ridiculous! Now the supplier you use has made them thinner due to the expense of shipping?? Im so irritated that im writing a letter to the better busines bureau about all the lies I have been told! Like I said before 16mils is 16 Mils!! "

I sent numerous emails complaining along with pictures. It took 2 weeks for them to respond. And a week to get the replacement order in the system.
No phone number to call. On a scale of 1 to 10, they are a 1. I will not order again from this supplier. I will no recommend them to anyone"

"First, their website is difficult to navigate and especially their search engine is very poor or their type/availability of products is not made for average homeowner. But after spending too much time searching, I found and ordered a hose to connect my Polaris pool cleaner to the wall. The description was not quite what I thought it was, but the photo looked like what I needed, so I ordered. Upon receipt, I found that what looked like screw-on spirals on the hose were instead just painted onto the plastic - I was totally mislead by their online product photo. So I tried to return it. They told me they would waive the restocking fee (which they don't tell you up front that even exists) but I would have to pay for the return but that I had to use Fedex. Turns out the cheapest Fedex was going to cost considerably more than what I'd get reimbursed. They won't help me any further, so now I'm stuck with something I can't use. I'll never use them again."
"I am the type of person that typically reads the reviews, but doesn't write them. They have me so angry I am going to write a review wherever I can. The warranty is a joke. It doesn't say anything about only covering the seams and yet when it shredded from normal wear and tear only 4 years later and I tried to talk to them about the warranty, they stated the warranty is only for the seams. We were in a hurry to get a new liner and against our better judgment placed another order because it was the least expensive we could find. We hoped it would be better the second time. We were told the liner we wanted was back ordered, but coming in a couple days. We waited 2 weeks and when I called back I was told it was delayed but would be in the next day. I called the next day and was told it had arrived and would ship out in a couple of days. We called back again the next week and were told the liner was discontinued and they'd never get it in. What a bunch of liars!! I would NEVER recommend anyone ever doing business with them. I will look into what further legal action can be taken to stop this company from doing business. "
"Ordered 2 pairs of Aqua Select Inground Stainless Steel Escutcheon Plates. Upon opening 1 and trying to fit it onto the pool ladder base my husband cut his thumb down to the bone on the RAZOR SHARP edge. Called customer service to let them know about the incident and return the plates. CS rep could have cared less AND they wanted to CHARGE me for re-stocking as well! "Thousands of these are sold." is what I was told. Imagine my surprise that they expected me to pay a 20% re-stock! Seriously?! I got them to waive the re-stock fee, but will NEVER purchase from them again.

"Clearly not 16mil solar cover... no label. & it's much thinner and poorer quality than the 12mil I had. bubbles are already pressed and many bubbles are non-existence. called and they just give a bunch of lies... oh, it's different manufacturer and every manufacturer has different standard for 16 mil. oh, they have new tech to made it lighter (what??? 16 mil will be lighter than 12mil? wow... what new tech)? is it great you can more easily handle it since it's lighter? what???
