I believe this company is nothing more than a scam, after reading page after page of similar complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau of South Nevada. Unfortunately, I did not know this before I ordered from LP Gear and had $269.00 stolen from me. PLEASE DO NOT make the same mistake I did, order from an honest seller and do your homework before purchasing."

"Normally the successful transaction involving the fulfillment of a simple order from Record Gear wouldn't warrant a review but in this case, just after placing my order for the Technics cartridge alignment gauge, I came across this review page in which Record Gear was excoriated with three citations of poor customer service, rudeness when contacted, and force to return mistaken shipments at customer expense. The complaints had a personal vent to them. I caught my breath. Imagine my relief when the following day I received a receipt by email, the notice that shipment had been set in motion along with a USPS tracking number. The order arrived ahead of schedule. The item I ordered is hard to get. Technics provides one with its set up kit for its top-line DJ tables, but Record Gear was the only dealer I could find that carries it as a separate item. Thanks Record Gear, well done. I'll be back. "
"I ordered a stylus for my turntable based on the model number. They sent the wrong stylus. When I contacted them and showed photos, they told me someone must have switched out the original stylus and cartridge on my turntable. When I told them I was the original owner, they responded that the manufacturer must have switched out the stylus when I purchased it. They refused to issue a refund. Searching reviews, I see other customers have had similar experiences. Don’t order from them. "
"Please do your research before purchasing from LP Gear (eg. The Better Business Bureau). LP Gear is not good at sending you the product you actually ordered, and to correct the issue you must send back the wrong product at your expense. Besides the cost of returning the product their shipping is extremely slow. I do not live in the USA so it might not be as bad there, but again, good luck with getting the product you actually ordered"
"I did not receive what was pictured on their product page where I purchased. I feel this is bait and switch selling. There is no phone number to call for help. Everything is done via email. So far I have only received an acknowledgement of my contact and no actual help. Something else is funny. I was trying to leave a review about my experience there but guess what.... there is no actual link to leave a review. Who is writing all the one line reviews? LP Gear themselves? Fortunately I paid with PayPal and have now opened a case. Another annoyance is they only ship USPS slowmo rates or $50 overnight, nothing in between. It would be nice to have the option to ship FedEx ground so my order didn't take so long. "

"A few weeks ago I needed a 78 rpm stylus for my new Pioneer DJ turntable. I emailed 3 possible suppliers with my question, and LP Gear answered right away (have still not heard from the others yet). Based on their information, I ordered a stylus, Unfortunately, when I tried it out on several different 78s, they did not play clearly. (The music sounded like a bad cellphone connection.) I emailed them right away and described the problem. As they directed, I returned the stylus so they could check it out. As soon as they got it, the tested it and the next day told me they were going to replace it. The replacement stylus arrived today and it plays perfectly. Their fast responses, no questions asked testing and replacement of the defective stylus were very impressive. They will be my go to supplier for any other needs that may arise."
