"Let me begin by saying, there are some really great teachers here but unfortunately, that is not who the building is run by.

And don't think just because there are cameras in all rooms that your child will be 100% safe. I've seen a teacher smack a child, and all that management did was send her home for the day, she was at work the next day, and she was back in the same room maybe a month later. I later found out that was not the first time that teacher had been removed from the toddler room!

I also was told by another teacher that they heard my children were being groped in their pre-k room by another child. I asked the teacher, and she said the assistant director was there when it happened!! And she never mentioned anything to me. When I confronted the Assistant director, she said she didn't think it was "a big deal" that another child was trying to grab my child with her pants down. Imagine hearing it's not a big deal for your kids pants to be down while another kid is grabbing at it. I told management I wanted to go home immediately because I was very upset. That was 3 months after I started-- I should've never come back!

They also fired someone because her child was in the ER and she hadn't been to work a lot since she started. I wish I was making that up. That was a fun day when I was basically told I could leave for the day but the sick girl would need to stay in my room, or the girl and her mom (teacher) could leave, but I would have to stay. Of course, I said it was wrong to keep a sick child in the room, so I said I would stay. Later on, the director gave me a hard time about this, saying I should always say yes to staying late because it's my "job." (I typically stayed late most days because they never worked to get me out on time, so trust me, I worked late constantly. But also, that should NOT be the expectation of a daycare employee...)

I really truly loved my job but it's management who pushed me away. They are incredibly lazy and rude. I was supposedly "in management," but yet I wasn't involved in any managerial decisions or meetings. They had other people open or close the building instead of me. I tried to stay away from them as much as possible because the assistant director is pretty clueless about most things; she just sits in the office collecting vacation time. And the director is rude, making any question asked sound like it was a stupid one. Management never missed their own breaks; they always got out on time, where you have hourly teachers work overtime every week. Sometimes we wouldn't get a break or be told we could only take 30 mins-- but that didn't effect management ever. They never sacrificed their break or leaving early for staff to get a proper break. Plenty of times we were forgotten and got breaks very late while the assistant director left early for the day.

Management would get rude or ignore us if we buzzed down for help or if we were asking to leave on time. We were literally told to wait "because as soon as we move kids, their parents come 5 minutes later and they HATE when the kids move rooms..." It was very uncommon to get out on time consistently. And I understand it's a numbers game, but if they had enough staff, they wouldn't have a problem getting people out on time.

My classroom was over (meaning we needed another teacher with the amount of kids we had) for 45 minutes one morning. I kept buzzing to the office and no one responded. I even looked out my door at one point and saw both directors were sitting in the office. They also have access to how many children are in the classrooms at any time. I finally went up when the next teacher came in and asked if the intercom was working. The assistant director was acting very suspicious, like "We haven't heard anything." She didn't ask questions or try to figure out if there actually was a problem, which made me think she definitely heard our buzzing but didn't care. I told her we need someone in the room by 815a everyday(otherwise we are breaking the law). She just stood there staring at me like "so??" And shrugging her arms like she didn't care. She proceeded to come right up to me and say, "I don't like your attitude." Which is something insecure people say to others when they feel their authority is threatened. If I was really in management, I should be able to say how we need to be staffed instead of the assistant director getting all offended. At that point, I decided, this is enough. I'm so sick of this place treating horrible teachers like queens, whereas people who do their job with minimal issues are treated like garbage.

Also, I have reached out to corporate about everything, and I've mostly just gotten the run around. Apparently, if you've been with LCG for 20 or 30 years, you can do whatever you want. That's sad because that's not what's best for children, families, or staff. Don't waste your time at this toxic environment!"

"I love how accommodating the school is. The staff is very friendly and my kid’s teachers are amazing. I don’t have experience with all of the other classrooms as my child just enrolled for the PreK room this year. The school is so clean and you can tell when you walk in the door. I love that the same directors have been here and that shows they really care about this school! I will definitely be sending my other children here as well!"

"Used to be great and I could never find fault with anything, the staff and management seemed happy and my child liked coming to school. Now, staff are leaving every week it seems and new faces just appear randomly in the classroom and I have no idea who they are. Some don't even stay. I have zero clue which credentials these teachers even have as some don't even seem interested in working with children We pay so much more money than ever before and all we ask are for people to care for our children. And then if we want any extras we have to hope the school has staff to run said programs and only those who can afford it are able to participate."

"We love LaPetite overall. The 'core' group of teachers that have been there a long time and taught both of our daugthers there (Miss Robyn, Stephanie, among others) are all super. Miss Robyn and Stephanie in particular I think do a great job in their room getting the kids ready for Kindergarten."

"You have veteran teachers and directors who do a great job but you can see the burn out from them. Miss Kelly, Miss Ally, Miss Sam and Miss Robyn are hands down the reason I still send my children. The prices have got to come down or we need to see where our money is going because the quality is just not the same anymore. This is not a reflection of the directing staff as they are just trying to stay afloat and work with what they have. I've taken numerous surveys in the many, many years my family has been here and I often wonder why I still fill these out because nothing has ever changed. Even your registration fees have become outrageous. Learning Care Group needs to be better than this because the reviews on all local locations are horrible and people are noticing this is not a top company anymore."

"The teachers here are so amazing. My child is in the infant room where he is very loved and they take excellent care of him. They’re always happy to see him and he is very happy to see his teachers and friends everyday. The teachers know each infant very well and remember all the details at the end of the day to tell me at pick up! Even with all the kids they take care of, they remember if your baby is sleeping/eating more or less than normal and will let you know. They are so amazing!"
