"I recently special ordered a door jamb level from a large chain lumber store that was supposed to have been fairly accurate and made in the USA; although it was a nice heavy duty box type, it was imported, and the top vial was off +/- 1/8" in 78"! After sending it back, I purchased a USA made Sands level from Kraft Tool. There were several hardware and plumbing sites that offered the same Sands level at good prices, but their shipping costs were nearly as much as the level. I saved a bundle on shipping costs by buying it and a nice case to store it in directly from Kraft Tool. The staff at Kraft Tool were very friendly, knew their products well and sent me a couple of end caps for free to attach to the ends of the level. Moreover, the Sands level was a few dollars less than the bad imported one, and it's been dead-on in accuracy at all 10 vials. All the Kraft tools are made in the USA; check them out."
