Kmart perpetuates return policy fraud as well knowingly selling products with warranty fraud involved

" On Dec.4, 2017 I purchased a pre-lit Christmas Tree from Kmart in Riverhead NY.
Upon setting the tree up about a week later I noted that on string of lights (whites only) flickered before finally remaining on.
This happened most noticeably during Color cycling (white to Red toBlue to green). In about another 3 days the white string went totally dead.
Now for the fun part.
I contacted the store to try to do an exchange..and was informed they had no more of that model tree. I then asked for a refund. I was told by the store clerk that I could not get a refund on a Christmas tree. (No where on my receipt does it state this. I then spoke with store manager who was just as curt and who referred me to the Manufacturers warranty.
I called the "Customer Service" number (1-***-***-****) and went immediately to voice mail. I left all requested information and waited for 2 days and still no response. I called again ... and again NOTHING.
I then went to their website (www.winnerstree.com) which was laughable and useless.
I then sent emails to their email address (****@****) I never received an acknowledgement of ANY type.
Kmart is knowingly selling this misrepresented product and since they know the customer has no recourse they also refuse to honor their own return policy (30 days with a receipt).
WARNING: DO NOT PATRONIZE KMART FOR ANY MAJOR PURCHASES (TREE COST $133.00) BECAUSE YOU WILL BE FLEECED BY KMART AND MOST LIKELY THE SECOND RATE MANUFACTURERS THEY DEAL WITH IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE.

Freecash fraud

"This problem I'm having has happened numourous times and I'm getting upset. I'm given freecash..15 dollars on 20 in home, bedding, and bath. Yet when I try to buy sheets which is bedding, I get no freecash. No matter what I put in my cart, I do not get the freecash. Its stupid. On another occasion it would let me use freecash on a lamp, but not a lamp shade. Wtf?? Who puts these items in their catagories. I wont be surprised if a class action lawsuit is filed soon. "

"Kmart online they send me a offer for $12 cash back so I buy 2 items of $6 at the checkout they said my total is $30 and I have to pay $17 well I decide to give a kmart a bad review on they’re app but don’t let me go trough the bad review all I have to said kmart online is a completely fraud!!!"

Buyer Be Wre

"I picked up a Kmart online living room chair purchase and took it home. When I unwrapped the covering I norticed a black stain on the cushion. Also, the chair feet were missing. I called the store and was told I need to bring it back. Since I ordered a new chair and received a used one I asked if the store could pick up the chair. I was told they would check on a UPS pick up. After not hearing anything for three days I called again. There was no record of my previous call. Again I explained my problem. Customer service contacted the manager of the Sears store where I picked it up. He refused to take it back because he said he didn't sell it and it would be a lose for him. Again I was promised a UPS pick up. Several days passed without any contact. I called again. After 1 hour and 36 minutes I was told that my seven day return date was passed and I couldn't return the chair even though they had a record of my previous call. So now I am stuck. I paid full price for a stained chair with missing feet. "

Selling items that aren't there and shipping half of what I need

"Ordered 50 items on a Friday morning for my work, received an email over the weekend so didn't check it until Monday morning, said to call a number because of security issues blah, blah blah. Have never had any issues with any other of the dozens of companies we order through, and they asked to speak to my boss whose name is on the company card, and they grilled her with a plethora of questions about the mailing address on file with the card which didn't match the shipping address because one's a PO Box and the other isn't. After just under 10 minutes of phone time they were okay with the purchase of 50 of the same product (hanging file folders for medical/office use). Received an email this morning, Tuesday, saying 23 of my items are out of stock, so they refunded for those and went ahead and shipped the other 27. What are we supposed to do with half of WHAT WE NEED?! "Here's half the materials for your project, good luck!" They should have contacted us about that and I could have canceled the entire order and gone somewhere else. Such an unprofessional company, how are they still afloat?"

Kmart on-line shopping is a rip off and someone should file a class action lawsuit

"Kmart kept sending me e-mails that I had an $18 in freecash in points. I clicked on the e-mail to their web site and proceeded to purchase 3 items (one of which was on sale). The web site kept saying if I spend over $25 I get free shipping. I put my order in, it accepted my $18 in freecash points, but it wanted to charge me shipping and I could not get it corrected. Then it popped up and said if I try their shopping program for a 90-day FREE trial I will get free shipping. So ok, I clicked on it. It clearly showed my 3 orders and their cost, minus the $18 in Freecash points, and cancelled out my shipping charged. It showed my total was now $29.54 (yes, I have copies of it all). Then I pushed the button to enter my payment information. All of a sudden, the total changed to $47.54. The statement still showed all the correct amounts, but the total now showing did not match the statement amounts. I could not get it to correct. So, I did the On-Line Chat which luckily, I have complete copies of it all. I was told that I can't have the $18 in freecash points. I was told I don't get free shipping. I was told that those are only for actual Kmart products and the items I ordered are from different vendors. It’s the Kmart web site, the orders are through Kmart, Kmart is who I am purchasing from, Kmart is the company that initiated it all by e-mailing me to use my $18. I was told all kinds of crazy things that made no sense. Next thing I know I am being told my order total is $85.14 and not the $29.54 it is supposed to be. Next thing I know she tells me she has placed my order and I immediately tell her "STOP, I didn't authorize it". Then I am told my order has been placed for $85.14. To make a long story short my chat started at 7:24 and ended at 8:40 (over an hour) to get them to finally cancel the order I didn't authorize and then to tell me it will take 3 to 5 days to refund my credit card. Finally got a supervisor who said that the person who I had been chatting with had been wrong but it was too late, my card had been charged and it takes 3 to 5 days to get a refund but they would give me $5 more in freecash points to use so my total to use will be $23. I asked if she was crazy, now they want to acknowledge I have $18 to use. I imagine a lot of people don't realize their totals have changed or they assume it is handling charged or something but the truth clearly is that it is a rip-off and they need to be stopped. I spent a lot of time on their website choosing the items I wanted and researching it and placing my order to end up spending more time just trying to get them to correct the mistake their system had made and then having them almost triple the amount I was supposed to pay and charge my account without my permission is so upsetting I can't believe it. After all that I do not have the items I wanted, I don't have my refund back yet, and I feel totally taken advantage of. I'm sure a lot of people would not spend the time to cancel the order and who knows how much extra money they have been charged. My personal opinion of this is that it is out and out fraud."

Awful Customer Service

"Daughter picked up an online order for me. She had also picked up a few items while walking through the store to purchase. She went back to the online area to pick up where they told her she didn't have an order. She said really because here is the email stating my order is ready for pickup. They then proceeded to tell her that she would have to go wait in line to check out for the online order. In the mean time she sent me a text says Kmart has rude employees. She waited in the check out line and even though I had already paid for the item waited to check out. She then asked the cashier if she could pay for her few items and the cashier told no, she would have to wait in line again. My daughter said no, I will purchase them elsewhere and the cashier said OK! I guess that Kmart makes so much money they can turn business away! My daughter has said that she will never walk into a Kmart again! I didn't purchase a lot this time, it was just a last minute gift for a birthday present but I have spent a small fortune in Kmart stores over the years but I am done. I will do my purchases at either Walmart or Meijer! "

Customer service is a FRAUD!

"I ordered online twice and they cancelled both orders after basically accusing me of fraud for $30. If I were to commit fraud, it would be for much more - at least ten times. They even told me they were checking my info with public info online. They couldn’t find anything, so they cancelled my order.

The saddest thing is that the merchandise purchased was a gift for kids in need - specifically, a little girl who could not afford a winter coat.

Absolutely disgusting that I wasted any time on these fools.

Couldn't cancel online order 20 mins after purchase

"I placed an order online for a toy. I realized 20 minutes later is was the wrong one. I online chatted to cancel my order, they said they couldn’t cancel the order. I called customer service, talked with multiple people including the supervisor and no could cancel my online order all within a hour of purchase. They told me to send it back and once they receive it back in the warehouse then I will get my refund. The toy was being shipped as a gift to someone else. That was not going to work for me. I had dispute the payment with the credit card company. I would not recommend buying from Kmart online"

Will not purchase from them EVER again

"I made 4 online purchases and under all 4 purchases it says that I will receive $15 and change for each purchase in reward points to use on future purchases. I never received my points which was $60 some dollars and when I was on the phone with them for over 3 weeks a lady tells me that it states on there computer you have to spend $100. It never said that I have screen shots of everything. It is defentally false advertisement that only on there end they can see that you have to spend $100 but not on our end. The representative also told me many people are calling in with the same issue. I will NOT shop there anymore. Very disappointed "

New ... I Don't Think So ... All Opened or Used Items

"Kmart.com was hands down the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. The site and ordering was all great but the fulfillment was horrendous and the follow through wasn't much better. I ordered 4 packs of 12-pairs of socks for my daughters school charitable event "Socktober" where parents donate new socks to give to the homeless. What I received from kmart.com was 4 OPEN packs of sacks with only one pack having 12 pairs of socks. This was the breakdown: 1 package of 12 socks with one pair clearly being worn before, 2 open packages of 10 pairs of socks, and 1 package with 8.5 pairs of socks ... yes, 8 complete pairs and then just 1 sock. It was literally the worst online shopping experience I have had in the 20 years I have been ordering online. I was very disappointed.

So, I contact customer service via online chat and even the online chat took 11 minutes of putting me on "hold" (whatever that means when you are chatting online) to retrieve my order details. After spending maybe 20 minutes online I was informed ... good news ... my item qualifies for a free return all I had to do was pack them up and find a UPS store to take them to. Totally now what I was looking for since I needed these socks for the Socktober charitable event on Tuesday and this all took place on Friday evening. I told the CS agent that wasn't the remedy I was really looking for. What I really needed was either socks sent next day air or a complete refund with the socks not needing to be returned as I had clearly been inconvenienced enough (this is the type of service Amazon does all the time). Instead I was offered $10 back in reward dollars. I was between a rock and a hard place so decided to take it since I needed the socks for Tuesday. I'll just have to piece together complete packages of socks.

One thing is for sure, after I spend the reward dollars as cheaply and safely as possible I will not think twice about ordering from Kmart.com or Sears.com again. Eddie Lampert, good luck ever turning this organization around with this type of service. If I were you I would be super ashamed.

kmart is the worst store EVER!!

"the kmart in columbia lancaster has the most horrible service ever!!!! picked up 2 sale items (with a bunch of the same items there) took a pic of the sale so i wouldn't have to wait on a price check. showed them, and they still did a price which is fine, but then they don't honor their Mistakes!!! what store don't honor there items that are marked wrong. no wonder F***in kmarts are going outta business! i will never ever go back to this one, and maybe any kmart again! "

Cashier

"Went to purchase outdoor equipment for a beach vacation; purchase $120.00 dollars worth of merchandise. When I got to the cashier the beach chair both the same color and the same brand but when they scanned it they had difference UPC numbers I told her if she can call and get me another one that was at the same price since I needed two; she got upset; I advice her that the sales person at the outdoor department had gave them to me and said they were the same price; she advice let me call and continue with an attitude. This is why Kmart is declining in sales because their customer service person the front face of the company have attitude towards the customers. Actually after that I went to Walmart and all the things I had brought were at a better price. I can give a 0 on my feedback but their isn't one so the lowest its 1. "
