"Camera ASA dial was jammed and couldn't turn all the way. The light meter didn't work properly - the aperture changed the settings but the shutter speed somehow had no effect on the meter. It obviously was not checked out properly. The return was easy but a waste of my time. They did ship it to me fast and have good customer service, so that 's a positive."
"Ordered a bargain grade Olympus XA, put one roll of film thought it and had frames overlapping each other, returned that camera for a Olympus XA in “excellent” condition, that cameras frame spacing was so large in between shots that only ~20 pictures were captured on a 36 frame roll and the cameras shutter would still fire after closing the lens door. Returned that camera as well, but now out $50 in shipping…."

I had a problem with the address that I entered for shipping and they helped get it fixed and I got my camera parts just a couple of days later than promised which was great considering that I had put in the wrong city (over 350 miles away) and the shipment had to be diverted and reshipped. "About 20 years ago I had a quantity of camera equipment stolen from me and had no idea how I was going to replace such expensive equipment. A friend told me about KEH and while reluctant to buy USED equipment I checked them out and ended up buying back used versions of almost all of my stolen equipment. The grading system was spot on 100% on everything and I was thrilled with my purchases. So two weeks ago when I was out shooting with my digital SLR , I damaged my brand-name zoom lens and found that the repair cost would be astronomical and so turned to KEH once again to find a replacement. "I have had terrible experiences with KEH and film photography equipment. Perhaps their techs are less familiar with film photography than with modern gear, but even so. Items I recently bought at above market prices (compared to Japanese dealers) were listed as "Excellent" but then arrived in non-working condition (ie. critical missing parts on a camera; a lens with a broken aperture mechanism). That a mistake (two actually) was made by KEH with their volume of sales could be understood, but the CS responses that I was offered were ridiculously bad as though it was a favor to me to repair a broken camera and lens. I will never purchase analog gear from KEH because of the condition of what I received, but I will probably also never do business with them ever again because of how bad the CS was. "
