I have contacted trading standards and will be taking legal action as they have not provided me any money for the dress I returned, therefore this is theft. Their refund policy is a complete lie even though I have an audit trail of them agreeing to a full refund even before purchasing the dress!

"I had a dress design in mind for a little while, and it just so happened that JOannedress made one (off the shoulder, split, full-length skirt). I ordered one, thinking they were based in the USA, and then I discovered all the negative reviews and that they were actually based in China. I panicked a bit, thought about asking for my money back, but waited instead.
Delivery took two days longer than their longest predicted time, but I'll let them off for that since it was at the height of the wedding season and they were busy.
I was so relieved when the dress arrived and it fitted fairly well (more info below) AND was of good quality. The stitching was neat and the fabric draped just as I'd hoped. It did need an iron after being packaged up for a fortnight, but again, that's not really their fault. I'd upload photos, but can't seem to on here.
Sizing: I ordered their standard UK 8, which ought to have had a smaller bust than the normal EU 36/UK 8 according to their measurements, but as it was an off-shoulder dress, I reckoned that was needed. All other measurements were pretty much the same as standard UK and EU sizes. On fitting me, I found it had a tiny bit of extra space in the waist, and was not too tight across the bust at all. I suspect they make their standard size dresses very slightly larger than advertised so that you can have them adjusted (also vanity!).
So overall I was pleased. It was the dress I wanted, it arrived almost when they said it would, it was well-made and fitted.
I didn't have to do a return, so cannot comment on how good/bad that process is! Just be aware you are ordering from abroad in spite of the UK domain."
"I absolutely love this company. I ordered my wedding dress from here and sent in my measurements. It fit perfectly. The only tailoring I need to do is bustle the train. The quality of the dress was much better than what I expected. The shipping was quick. I loved the company so much we ordered my mom's dress from them and again was highly pleased. I even bought the bridal jewlery from them. Amazing company. I certainly recommend using them if you plan to buy your dress online."

We ordered this dress a few days before the wedding. I paid extra for the express
delivery. The dress came about 5 days AFTER the wedding. You can imagine how awful it was for us to arrange for a wedding dress the night before the wedding. The worse part was that this horrible company even didn't recognise the trouble that they put us in. We asked for a custom tailored dress, but they should have informed us that they cannot meet the deadline. They even didn't send us an apology email. I had to write them THREE emails asking for tracking number. They just replied that it is posted, you will receive it and finally they gave me the tracking number.
The dress is fine. Nothing spectacular. It definitely doesn't worth £484.68. It might even not worth £199.36 either. It was not even in a box. You buy a t-shirt it comes in a nice box, properly wrapped. The dress came totally pressed and squeezed in a plastic envelop. I had the flag in my mind when I noticed ONLY five star feedbacks -- will they filter out non-desirable feedback?
My suggestions: (1) give plenty of time, (2) don't be fooled by sales' deadline (there is always some excuse for sale -- we bought this exact dress in the exact discounted price about a month ago), (3) there are plenty of similar companies out there, perhaps you would like to take your chance with another company.
Hopefully your wedding goes much smoother with less tension and stress than ours

"I have to be honest I had my reservations when ordering from joannedress due to some of the bad reviews I have seen on here.
However, I am so pleased that I did! The flower girl dresses I ordered are beautiful and are exactly what I was expecting, nice quality and faultless.
The only thing I would maybe have liked joannedress to be slicker with is delivery times. I did have to wait longer than initially quoted but I was able to contact them and they were extremely helpful. I can definitely look past delivery times as the end product was perfect.
I ordered 4 dresses and they are all immaculate. Just need the flower girls to try for size and hopefully they will fit perfectly too. A lot of the bad reviews have been related to the service however, I cannot fault the service at all. Fingers crossed if I do need to return for a different size I do not experience the issues that others have.
But for now 100% recommend, just ensure you leave enough time between ordering the dresses and your event."
"I read may reviews some good some back. Even watched some YouTube videos on the outfits. The videos helped with reassurance. Then I ordered my dresses one for wedding. I didn't measure my body which I do recommend for people to do for future purchase. But both dresses came. My wedding dress fits perfect only a little long due to me being short my reception dress is a little big at the top and long. Ordered both in the same size though. So that's not consistent. But both dresses look wonderful. Shopping was easy and so was the purchase and they respond quickly if you email them and shipping was fast."
"Please do not buy anything from this company. Their returns procedure is flawed and you will never receive any refunds. They deny ever receiving the dress back and I have forked out over £100 which I will never see again. They are a total joke and appear on initial look to be a UK company but they are not, they are Chinese (or at least that's where returns are sent to). Save your hard earned cash and order from a reputable company, I have googled different review sites now and they have a terrible reputation, I just wish I had looked properly before buying. The dress was badly bad, way too long even though measurements were given and totally the wrong colour "
"The wedding dress I received was unwearable due to the size of the armholes which were far too small even though I am a size 8. They have refused to refund because the waist size is correct!!!

And if you're not planning on wearing super high heels, measure the hollow to floor length to your ankles rather than to the floor because they make it a few inches longer to accommodate for heels (unless if you want a little bit dragging on the floor). Other than that, it's perfect. All the folds and embellishments are the same as the picture, and they were willing to make the back a little higher to cover the bra strap for free. A lot cheaper and same quality as those you'll find in stores, highly recommend it "
