I purchased the item from Jimev1Software' eBay store. The eBay item description was "Acrobat 9 Standard New Retail Boxed free shipping".
It would've been a low price for Acrobat Standard 9.0 "Retail Boxed" but I received a Dell OEM version.
Functionally, it's exactly the same as the retail boxed version, but a Dell OEM version can only be legally sold with a new Dell computer. I'm putting it on a Dell laptop, so I'm going to go ahead and use it, but I'm very unhappy about the deception.

From website (jimev1software.net) it appears the reseller has an eBay Power Seller store plus a standalone site. Purchase order generated acknowledgement emails. Will update review when item received. .....Follow-up to 11/14/05 review. Highly recommend based on this transaction. Shipping notice sent the day after placing order. Item received in CA in two days from TX via USPS 1st class. Item just as advertised at just about lowest price found. And again, no gouge on S&H charge. Good vendor who deserves a look-see."
