"Janet Davis Music (JDM) is an absolute dream to do business with. After checking a number of stores that do business on the Internet, I'd narrowed my selection down to two -- JDM being one of them. After a little further checking I learned that JDM has been a member of the Better Business Bureau(BBB)for a number of years. Even more surprisingly JDM has never had even one complaint lodged against the. This is almost unheard of today. The other store I was considering, though not a member of the BBB, has had a total of 39 complaints against them. While I could have saved a little money by going to the other store I didn't feel the savings was worth the risk.
Before placing my order with JDM I called and spoke with Tom. He was exceedingly helpful and answered all of my questions thoroughly and completely. I ended up buying a banjo for myself and a guitar for my son, along with cases and other miscellaneous items. Tom kept me informed as to when the instruments had been set-up; when they had been shipped; and when they would arrive in California. The instruments actually arrived one day early and they were absolutely beautiful!! I'd also been worried about the instruments being damaged in shipment. I can tell you the way JDM packaged this order it could have survived an atomic bomb blast. No amount of mishandling by the carrier would have damaged these instruments.
JDM is everything they claim to be and more. In the future I won't even look at other stores. JDM will be getting all my business. This is a first class company with first class employees and first class customer support.
