I ordered 650 rounds of 40 SW. After a couple of weeks I looked back on my order. They had asked me for an FFL. I am in MN and do not need an FFL to order ammo. I do indeed have an FFL. I spoke to Samual and when I asked to speak to a manager after he him hawed about when my order would be shipped he said no. I said I want to be clear because I am going to call and ask for the owner that you will not let me speak to a manager. He then said he was canceling my order and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to Ian the general manager. He said that Samual reported that I was overly aggressive and did not want to do business with me. I guess now days when you ask to speak with a manager you are overly aggressive. I would not order ammo from these folks. Apparently, they can afford to lose customers. From other folks here orders seem to get confused and in my case simply not get shipped. Also, I have found the same ammo cheaper."

"I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews about this company. I have multiple online buys from them with no issues. I just bought something that was hard to find "rare" and received it within 5 days. From my point of view they are perfect.

Side note: I think more people that have bad experiences with an online sale tend to seek out justice (rightfully so) or a way to express how they've been wronged more then people that just simply receive they're items on time with no problems. When everything goes OK its just "business as usual" and you don't even bother to give a positive review. I was just about to do that and then chose to write this review for that very reason."

"I bought 1000 rounds of .223 and only received 800 rounds for the price of 1000. The manager said they only have a 30 day policy even tough he has had numerous other issues with the same ammo company. He/ they will do nothing because of a policy of not being an honest business: not standing behind what they sell. Besides, they are so overpriced, you can do better at Target Sports and others more reputable establishments."

"There was zero communication for 10 days. Did not ship when they were supposed to. Shipped to the wrong address. Complete disaster. Will never buy from again."

"I just received the Star Model BM pistol from J&G Sales. Working with the reps in Prescott was a pleasure. They were very helpful and efficient. My order was shipped by UPS in a 2 day frame. When received, the pistol was packed in a rigid plastic Star container with an extra mag that I ordered, manual and cleaning rod. The bluing on the frame was excellent and the bore was perfect."

"I purchased 2 boxes or .380 but they sent me two boxes of .32 instead. I sent two email correspondence without a response. Called several times only get the voice mail. Never again! "

"Ordered a SW Model 10 with hand select option. Handgun came to my ffl very quickly. The gun's finish is not perfect but it's a used police revolver, so I'm just happy it works and locks up as needed. Expect to do some fluff and buff on surplus guns, folks. "

"I bought a 1894 Brazilian Mauser from them a few weeks ago, yes the said that it was in fair condition but this thing is total junk. I wasted 250.00. The bore is totally rusted, the outside of the barrel is badly pitted, stock is cracked, bolt is inoperable, all id markings are unreadable, the trapdoor is rusted shut and no numbers match. The gun is worthless, certainly not worth 250.00. Do not buy one of these."

"If you order a HAND SELECT firearm from J&G SALES don't expect that you will receive one. My experience is that they will send a piece of junk and then just try to get it straightened out! Their customer service is a joke. They demean you and try to intimidate you into accepting their idea of a resolution."

"Ordered a very specific stock from them. Paid extra for the best available. Made especially sure they had the specific item on hand. Item arrived last night. Item was for the wrong weapon. Called this morning. They don't have "Customer Service" on the weekend. Talked to the GM. He refused to help. The last time I checked, GMs were supposed to have a little authority and position. Apparently not at J&G Sales. He could care less!"

"Called them up to order a gun only to find out they charge HUGE handling charges ! The quoted just shy of $80 for shipping a rifle to Alaska USPS. I am a C&R holder and have been shipping and recieving firearms for quite some time. You can ship a long gun from the anywhere in the lower 48 to Alaska for around $40. Not the one to argue, I just hung the phone up and will take my money elsewhere to a place where a customer is valued. "

"J&G advertised a sale on their ammo, I placed an order, they charged my credit card, and then emailed me the next day asking for an additional payment in order to complete my order. They claimed that their website had a glitch even though they had already charged me the original amount. They did not apologize and would not honor their originally advertised price. I have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years. They will not get another cent from me. "
