don't do it!

"Never, Never buy from JES, I usually don't write reviews, but this was needed and please read.. Wished I had checked the BBB before making my purchase.. I purchased a 60-inch worktable, realized it was to large for the space, called JES explained the situation and in turn purchased 48-inch worktable.. Total cost in all $4,585.00. Asked JES to pick up the 60-inch worktable, wow! it went downhill from there. As long as you're buying they are flying to help you. The representatives make up their own restocking prices, shipping prices, To return the worktable the restocking fee was 50% of the price. Thats egregious! especially when I purchased another piece of equipment that was smaller and the shipping charges were higher than the 60 in worktable. No explanation for that, all they say is DUNNNO.
Needless to say, they will RIP YOU OFF so don't waste your time, with this business. Webstaurant, Katom are my go too and they have better customer services and are not useful idiots.
Last but not least, reached out upper management, no response. Simple shows the world THEY DONT Care about you

Buy anywhere else

"ZERO stars. Please read reviews and DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Honestly, they should be forced out of business. They hide behind their terms and conditions, while not honoring anything they will tell you, over the phone or by email. If you need any "customer service", EXPECT the worst possible scenario, don't believe a word they say, and definitely start documenting everything. As a default policy, they will make excuses, make promises they intend to break, and at no point will they respond or initiate communication. They will string you along and keep any money they charge you. You'll need to file a dispute with your card issuer if you hope to recover any wrongful charges. JES Restaurant Equipment is a nightmare experience."

Sketchy Business Practices with Orders

"I ordered a True refrigerator and freezer in January with an understanding that the lead time for these items was going to be a few months. However, a few months later I called JES to check on the status of said items and they demanded another $4k on the phone, or else my order would have to be canceled. What a waste of time. Avoid JES at all costs as they will NOT lock in your pricing at the time of your order. With lead times being what they are today, this is an unacceptable and potentially illegal business practice."

Horrible!!!!!!

"Ordered a ice machine, Never communicated when it would be delivered! I waited for a month and then I was told that that specific model listed on their website and I paid for $3,800 was discontinued. One month to find out?? and no communication for the entire time? Finally canceled and asked for a refund! Now it has been one more month and no refund , No return my phone calls or emails!!! Beware!!! This is insane!!!!"

Terrible

"Terrible customer service unfriendly and unhelpful. Ordered the wrong product requested to do a refund so I can re order the correct product. Process was long and drawn out. I NEVER opened the package but they said it was damaged during fedex shipment. They would not refund my money only gave me less than half back. Of course I WILL NOT be reordering. Holley the customer service agent’s emails are rude and she doesn’t express a willingness to help or care. I Do not recommend shopping here. "

Price change

"I was trying to buy a fridge with them, I called to do my order and the sales person gave me the same price as the advertising. Which was a really good price for a fridge.

For some reason the call end and I proceeded to finish my transaction online with the same price they gave me, I was about to pay when they drastically change the price.

I called back and they told me that was a mistake and they don’t know why the sale’s person gave me that price.

And if I want the fridge I have to pay full price for it and not the one it was showing on the web page.

CRIMINALS

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. PLACED A $3500 ORDER IN JAN, SHIPPING WAS LISTED AS 3 WEEKS. CALLED BACK 3 WEEKS LATER AND WAS TOLD MANUFACTURING HADNT EVEN BEGUN. WAS OFFERED A REFUND. WEEKS LATER, NO REFUND. I CALLED, WAS TOLD REFUND WAS PROCESSING. 2 MONTHS AND I STILL DONT HAVE MY REFUND. WHEN I CALL THEY PUT ME ON HOLD AND NEVER COME BACK TO THE PHONE. Completely Unprofessional and unwilling to help even in extenuating circumstances

"We are building a new house and ordered a refrigerator from them. The box arrived undamaged on 10/19/20 and we did not unbox it as it was going to be installed once we got that room and the cabinets built. When we unpacked it (12/29/20), the front had a TERRIBLE dent in it. I contacted customer service immediately and they have done absolutely NOTHING. They even told me I had to purchase a new door. They would do nothing. I then asked to speak to a manager to help me and they called me once, left a message. I have since called them over 5 times and left voice mail after voice mail with ZERO response. I have also sent email after email to get someone to help me and finally I am having to just purchase another door. I understand having policies but working with a customer who just spent as much as we did on a refrigerator is just completely unprofessional. At least listen and give me a break, but they wouldn't and even having the lack of response from Management to just have a conversation with me. Such a poorly managed company. I worked in Operations for 25 years and NEVER would treat a customer like they have. I emailed asking for a response on 12/29 Jan 9 & Jan 16 to Stacy Higginbotham (Customer Service Rep). Joe Benoa (Sales Manager) left me a message on Jan 12. I left messages daily on his voice mail since then asking to be called back and not once has he reached out to me. On Jan 16 I sent another email to Stacy to try and escalate this up to a higher level of management without any response. This is the most unprofessional organization I have ever dealt with.

The insinuation that I am being dishonest is completely unjust. I can prove to them that I am building a house and that the unit sat in the box, which was not damaged. Once the cabinets were built the unit was unboxed by the builder, Greg and Pat Martelli at Foxhill, LLC. The builder can and will attest to this. So insinuating my dishonestly is completely inaccurate. However, the Management team won't return my calls so I can even explain this to them. They have completely avoided the issue by not responding to me and haven't even given me the opportunity to explain the extenuating circumstances of this purchase. Wouldn't it be prudent to speak with the customer and potentially honor their product in a unique situation? I would think so. Were I a company that upheld my product I would at least speak with the customer and try to rectify the situation, even if the result would be my paying for the part that was damaged. At least speak to me and they have not even done that. I would also like to point out that I would not build a $2 million dollar home and be dishonest about a $4000 appliance. They refuse to return my calls I have called the Sales Manager 5 times on the dates I added in the complaint. What type of company treats customers in this fashion?
Finally, in an attempt to actually purchase the part myself since they were not responding or helping me I called again a couple weeks ago. I gave Carl the model number and asked for a price for the part. He was supposed to email me the price and I never heard back from him once again. Its amazing to me that not only will they not work with me but they won't even help me when I am trying to get a price for the part that is damaged.
I have never been treated so poorly by a customer, been called a liar and dishonest without even attempting to help me whatsoever in any form or fashion. Its completely unprofessional and insulting. I want to get the refrigerator part replaced so I can have a nice looking appliance in my home.
