"Started shopping online couple months ago with this website. To start off I would like to thank ups for great shipping expirence as always. I ordered a grow tent because they seem to have all great sizes. However, when the product arrived I noticed a couple things. The product I ordered was a “high rise” product. The corner peices were made out of plastic. Keep in mind I spent about $120 dollars for a 2’ X 4’ x 80” product. Doesn’t include a window to check inside with out opening up the door, which I was fine with when ordering it.
The frame does not include locking mechanism for any of the parts. Including the poles and the corner parts. Which made me question if it’s safe for this product to be used. Grow tents require items to be hung and the last thing anyone would want to worry about is the tent collapsing because of heat, movement, plastic deformation of the corners and etc. which also causes a fire hazards. Over all I rate this product unsafe for any consumer.
Hydro builder has a very controversial business practice. Please read RETURN POLICY BEFORE MAKING ANY PURCHASES ONLINE. “If the product has been assembled, Money can not be refunded”. I did not assemble my product because I understood from the start that this product was not safe to use. PLEASE READ FULL RETURN POLICY BEFORE MAKING ANY ORDERS TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTROVERSIAL BUSINESS PRACTICE.
After checking out the frame peices, I decided to looking inside the tent and the stitches. Terrible work. Many of the stitches were ran twice and overlay each other due to poor stitching. And once again I paid $120 dollars when I could have bought it for $60. And I understand that it’s my mistake for over trusting.
After contacting costumer support, I got an email back from the support and the first thing they asked me was “has the product been assembled?” The reason they ask this question is because they fully understand that plastic corner pieces are not safe and they understand that plastic can deform, bend, and even melt because of heat. Once the plastic has be stretched, it will never be the same. The return policy also includes, any original packaging damaged will prevent you from receiving your refund and you will also be held responsible for shipping cost to get the item back. As I was repackaging the item, which came in a little zipped bag, the zipper handle literally bent in half and tore a little on the side.
Basically I will be putting this product in the trash can. I will never order a product from this website every again. I will not a let a business take advantage of me as consumer with very unconsumer like policies.
I would rather put the product in the trash can and have them keep my money than send it back to them to resell again and not issue me a refund.
