"I wanted to find very low prices on some Monster Cable gear that I needed: a 500' spool, speaker connectors, and A/V cables. I found a bunch of resellers after an exhaustive Google search and most had prices within a reasonable price range. I went through each vendor and factored in the shipping cost to get the final price. A lot of these places had shipping charges nothing short of ridiculous, so automatically the list was shortened.
I headed over to ResellerRatings for help determining the vendor. Everyone except HotBuy was in the database. Granted, the reviews for the other vendors weren't too great, so I decided to give HotBuy the benefit of the doubt.
I placed my order that morning and the items got shipped out the next afternoon. I later received the shipment, but I noticed the invoice did not list the speaker connectors which I originally ordered. I emailed customer service about this, and within 2 hours someone replied and told me they would have the shipping dept. take care of this ASAP. They definitely followed through by shipping the missing items that same day. What a shock to have a real person sincerely apologize for the mistake and follow through with the resolution immediately.
Bottom line: HotBuy features a selection of QUALITY gear and will NOT rip you off on shipping. The customer service was fantastic. This was only my first order and I hope to become a long-time customer.
