"Do not do business with this outfit under any circumstances. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. It appears to be some guy working alone who will not answer your emails or phone calls. I ordered some speaker stands on 5/10/08 and never received any confirmation other than a verbal "yeah, I got your order," and that I would be receiving them in a week. When the week was over and I had not received them, I was told he would look into it and "shoot me out an email." Never got an email either. Of course he charged my credit card immediately to a company going by the name of Federal Stereo.

I canceled the order and am challenging the charges with my credit card company and I just submitted a claim with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

This is a schlock outfit from the word "GO." Don't walk---RUN!!!! Don't do business with Hometheaterplus.com or federal stereo. They are one in the same.

"This vendor definitely does not believe in communication. I was never emailed a copy of my order confirmation, but I can live with that. I was never emailed shipping information nor was I told that the item I purchased was not in stock. I was not given the opportunity to cancel if I so desired. A hold was placed on my account immediately after ordering instead of at time of shipping which is what has been the norm with other vendors I've dealt with. Meanwhile after numerous calls and complaining that I still had not been notified of shipping I kept being told that I should get the items by the end of the week. This went on for over a month. I did finally receive my order, but had I known from the very beginning that it was not immediately available and that it would take as long as it did I would not have had to keep calling, and would probably order from them again. At this time I would never give them another dime and have told others to stay away from them."
