It doesn't work.

"Purchased a $1500 DSC residential alarm system June 27, 2019.. After our local tech, with the help of the manufacture's tech had tried for two hours to get the system to work could not, I returned the equipment to Steve Knoch after receiving a RMA number. He should have sent a new replacement, but never did. Never returned any messages or text. It's It's mow October 16, 2019 since we returned the system and Have not received a replacement. "

"Ordered two Sabre window alarms, both products stopped working within a month because the windows get too cold for the batteries to work. I take them off the window and warm them up and then they work... away from the windows. A pretty pointless product if it's not doing its job if you ask me. Called customer service, AND THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, and when I requested to be transferred to tech support, I was on hold for 17 minutes, and then hung up on. I will never be purchasing from this store again. Do not waste your money, and they don't care if their products don't work. "

"I really wanted to like HSS, as they launched and maintain an awesome security forum, diysecurityforum.com. So I put in my first order with HSS. One of the items I received was incorrect, on their end. I mean what I received was not what I had ordered and paid for. I sent them an email and left them a voicemail, but got no response (it's been over a (EDIT) month now.) I ended up issuing a chargeback on the credit card, which is really awkward and I had to calculate the shipping price to send the item back to them (to include in the disputed charge amount.) The credit card company is having me hold off on shipping it back, until HSS has had a chance to respond, and hopefully provide the proper return address. So, it's been a pretty messy experience for me. I was really hoping to install my own security system, but it doesn't seem like I'll get support from HSS. Their forum is still 5 stars, but I have to give their own store zero stars, unfortunately. I hate to do that to a family run business, but that's my experience. If they ever return to the land of the living, I'll be one of the first to forgive them and return as a customer."

"Home Security Store was excellent to deal with initially on a $1500 system that I purchased. Within 5 months the battery (an upgraded unit) failed and they would not stand behind the product. No warranty on a battery that should last 4-5 years. Very disappointing in their willingness to stand behind what they sell and dismissive customer support. I am starting a new business with multiple locations that all will require full security systems. Guess who will not be getting thousands of dollars in business over a $22 battery?"

"Home Security Store does not take care of their customers. I guess the online component makes them too removed from the customer to care. They wouldn't return an item after I spent nearly $2000 with them. Now I have a device that I cannot use."

"Ordered product for a job paid for expedited shipping product showed up a day late and order was incomplete with a note saying back ordered! Bottom of the packing slip there was a note saying contact customer if there is a problem. No contact from them about backorder! If there was contact about the back order I could have changed the product to something they had in stock. SH@#!Y CUSTOMER SERVICE! Called customer service, the b2b sales person who took my order and the manager 7 times in one day with no answer or return phone call. Worst experience online ever DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY! Lets see how long it takes for me to get my refund!

"Purchased two Adel biometric door locks from Home Security Store in June. Six months later, one of the locks developed a problem that required a replacement part. I contacted Home Security Store and they sent me two replacement parts. Fixed problem. Prices were good. Support friendly when needed. Initial sales person helpful with questions about application and installation."

"Bought a system at the end of September, i've sent several emails but no response, bought a Simon Xti system with GSM, but the GSM wont connect despite showing a good signal, guess i have an alarm that goes off now, but cant get it monitored, disappointed after all the good reviews for home security store. I haven't called yet, but rarely have time in the day, should be easier to get a response via email at their convenience you would expect anyhow. The SIM that came with the module was locked with a pin code, dunno why (unlocked it with PUK code from t-mob), Tried Interlogix support but they wont help an end user but did say they dont have pin codes on their modules?( kinda disappointed with that too, why buy their product? Probably typical though) alarmrelay.com tried to help me get it going and even had alarm.com support on the line but they said the gsm or panel was probably defective."

"This is my first order through Home Security Store and so far, I'm not a satisfied puppy(as of yet). I purchased a complete XTI system on 10/17. As of 10/27, I have yet to receive my package, any communication about my order or even a "Thank You for your purchase", but yet they charged my card the same day I placed order. I did call a CS Rep and they just said my product was back ordered and gave no time frame!"

"This was my second order with the Home Security Store, and things couldn't have gone more smoothly. I had some pre-purchase questions, so I called the sales people. They answered in a very timely and professional manner with useful information.

Since I am not a tech-savvy person. I called the Tech Support Department for help. I received excellent service with immediate response. What more could I ask for.

I will definitely use homesecuritystore.com again and I would recommend them to anyone as a source of home security products.

"I purchased the DSC PC1832 Kit from Home Security Store, along with some sensors. The delivery was prompt, and products came as advertised. I have a combination of wired and wireless sensors. I also ordered additional keypad and sensors.

It does take some time to read through all installation docs, but the setup/programming is not too bad, if you take your time and read through installation carefully.
