"I was called within a few minuets of submitting the online form. After going through about 5 minutes of qualifying questions, they asked if I had a dog and I said I had a German Shepherd mix. The agent told me they won't write any policies because of this and said I should just go find a local agent. I kindly suggested that it would be helpful to have these types of automatically disqualifying questions be part of the website so there was no need to waste time on the phone and she got very rude with me and then hung up the phone."

"I contacted homeinsurance.com online and got a call back in 15 minutes. After 5 minutes of questions I was informed that since the nearest fire department was volunteer and 0.8 miles away I would not qualify for insurance from any of their carriers. Funny, I already had a quote from Progressive which they claim to represent. I would guess that they only take low risk clients and quote a lower cost because they don't offer you a local agent. I'm skeptical about their claims service based on my short experience."
