Horrible shipping practices

"Customer service will mislead and be dishonest. Total pain in the **** chasing them around to find out where your item is and when it will arrive. False promises false shipping dates. They do not try to make things right or offer any sort of compensation for month long delays. Do not pay for express shipping these items will not be sent in a timely matter. They will in fact cancel shipping and beat around the bush as to why that happened. Zero accountability zero ownership. They do not care how many customers they lose. In the hockey community word spreads like fire when players are not being taken care of. Move on do not order anything from this company."

Garbage

"Garbage company with garbage policies looking to make money off customers. Do not do business with this company. I purchased skates for a Christmas present and the delivery was lost. Over $250 spent and refused to be given a refund. Horrible customer service and employees."

Unbelievably bad!!!

"I can’t believe how bad the customer service is?!?! I purchased an item for Christmas and was sent the wrong item. I have tried multiple times through multiple avenues to get a hold of someone to help me. No luck at all. Really terrible - all I wanted is what I ordered. I can’t even return it because no one will respond to my email, live chat or phone call so I can get the RMA number you require to return something. Honestly the WORST online experience with a company ever!!!!!
As a hockey mom, you can rest assured that I will spread the word about my experience to others that may have considered buying from hockey monkey.

Shipping scam

"I paid a considerable amount extra for expedited shipping.... don’t! Their three day delivery ended up being seven..... claim no Sat or Sun delivery which, with UPS is NOT true. Even skipping the weekend, ordering on anTue and delivery Mon evening does not equal 3 days. I think they are skimming extra cAsh thru shipping. Other sites had the product for the same price. Go anywhere else. Ever since Pure Hockey purchased Hockey Monkey prices and service has declined. "

"Ordered gear for my daughter and it took a week to ship. Hockey monkey it says on your site gear ships within TWO BUSINESS DAYS. So my daughter missed out on ice time we had. This is a five star review if it shipped within the time stated on the site. You all should just update the verbiage on your site to state 5-7 business days or whatever service you can meet. This will keep your customers expectations in line with what you can meet. Good prices and deals, everything shipped as described and was smooth. "

Poor service

"I ordered some gear, and about a week later I inquired to see where it was. Service told me they didn't know and didn't know how long it would take to get my gear. That's all. No attempt to resolve the situation. I then asked to cancel, and they said they would cancel. Again, no attempt to resolve the problem. Hint to Hockeymonkey, customer service is about solving problems. I am a reasonable person who would be a happy customer if they even attempted to be helpful. The chose not to help. Oh well, off to the competitors..."

Horrible customer service

"I ordered a stick on saturday 11/2, it's been over 9 days and still the stick has not been sent out. I spoke with several customer service reps and none could give me any information other then they changed ordering software so things are backed up , I asked to speak with a manager and was told that there are no managers to over see the customer service reps. I was told I would have to leave my phone number so a manager could call me back at a later date. I spent over 300 dollars on the stick for which my credit card was charged immediately the next day but still 9 days later I have no idea when it will ship. This will be the last time I ever use hockey monkey for any product. If you need a product do yourself a favor and buy it from Pure Hockey because dealing with hockey monkey is a waste of time and money and please spread the word to friends in the hockey community to shop else where "

Customer Service is Horrible and Thieves

"HOCKEY MONKEY IS THE WORST
So just recently i ordered a pair of skates from this company and they sent me the right Bauer skates but used ones that someone clearly returned and Hockey Monkey restocked for shipment. I called customer service who the rep admitted to me that they have an issue with this older warehouse in California. I followed directions and took the pics and sent them back to the company. 3 Days later the supervisor Danielle says we check all boxes with our cameras before they leave the warehouse. Then tells me we did it right and did not mess up and it must have took place in shipping in UPS. Hockey is a expensive sport and they should not treat people this way and now i am at a loss of money and skates with no answers from this company besides take it up with your Credit Card Company and have a nice day .. I have been playing and coaching for 30 years and i miss my local skate shop this madness how they treat us and we need to all step up and do something about it .. Play Hockey and play hard ***** Avoid hockey monkey and monkey sports
