"This was a horrible experience, I ordered an onkyo high power subwoofer model 204, this did not work upon arrival, I emailed for exchange and they said they would contact the following Monday, This did not happen. I repeatedly emailed them and they will not respond to me. They need to be closed down before they rip off someone else, It has been well into the second month and i am stuck with a nonfunctional subwoofer. Buyer Beware!"

"order was placed 6 days ago and still no word back from them on if order was even processed. tried contacting them numerous times with no reply. kind of scared they have my credit card information. would reccomend paying the extra ten bucks and going elsewhere"

"Do not order from HighDecibels. I attempted to purchase a Lacie 8 TB raid hard drive and after initially placing the order everthing seemed fine. I received a confirmation email and notified that it would take 24-48 hours to ship. Almost 3 days later I received this email:

Your order id **** from Monday, January 02, 2012 08:11 has been updated from Order Received to Order Cancelled on Wednesday, January 04, 2012 17:56. Product sold out, no ETA Available from manufacturer at this time

Did it really take that long to figure out they were sold out of that product? From the other reviews I've read this seems like a pretty common occurrence. I'm suspecting this site is a scam and I'm pretty nervous that they have my credit card information. But to add insult to injury, the product I ordered is still listed as available on their website. So even if they aren't a scam, they are too lazy to update their inventory. I would stay FAR FAR away from this "company."

"I ordered the Onkyo HT-S9100THX home theater system after reading all the good reviews about this system. I have yet to install and actually hear the sound quality myself but I do have some things to say about this seller. I understand that this product may be a couple of years dated and a newer model has already been released. Which probably explains why I had such a hard time locating a merchant who had one in stock. But low and behold, I came across High Decibels website and the first thing I noticed was the price. I swear their listed price is at least a couple of hundred dollars lower than anyone else that I came across on the internet. Now, I will admit that their website is not the best and could use a little work. But in this case, it was sufficient enough to get the job done. I read other reviewers comments and they are right. There is no contact number listed and I didn't get a tracking number. But what I did received was an email that informed me when my order had been placed and another one when it had been shipped. I got my email letting me know that the order had shipped like on a Thursday or Friday. Since the weekend was upon us, I didn't even think about it until Monday morning. So when I got to the office on Monday, I decided that I would contact them through email requesting a tracking number so I could keep an eye out. So before I could get a response that day, on my lunch break, my office manager called me to let me know that the system had arrived. I couldn't believe how fast it arrived. I am absolutely blown away by how fast and easy this whole process was. I would definitely be recommending them to my electronic geek friends and will be using them again myself. Thanks High Decibels.

Now let's just hope everything works when I set it up.

"I took a chance and ordered a Denon AVR-4311ci receiver. After some issues with my credit card the order went through. I spoke to them on the phone and they assured me that the receiver would be double boxed when shipped. The receiver was well-packed and everything has worked out well.

They forgot to include a printed receipt, however. I was told on the phone that they would mail me a printed receipt, but I never received it.

I also find that their web site needs work. Nothing is displayed under contact information, and it looks as if the software they are running is not fully set up.

I also did not receive a shipping tracking number until I contacted them directly.

"I do a large percentage of my shopping online. I almost never take the time to complete a review of a retailer, unless people need to be warned. However this company's customer service is so stellar and wonderful. I felt obligated to take the time and praise them. I was buying Cuisinart mcp-12 MultiClad Pro Triple Ply Stainless 12-Piece Cookware Set and a Price of $214.95. Also I should point out I spent well over an hour searching for the best price online and went to numerous retailers. HighDecibels' price can not be beat. They are considerably lower than even their closest competitor. I needed to change an order I had already placed. When I contacted them via email late at night. They responded in under 30 minutes. They were abundantly polite and helpful. Their prices and customer service will NOT be beat any where on the net. Do your shopping with HighDecibels and you will not regret your shopping experience.

"Order was placed on 4/15 and I paid the shipping to get it delivered by 4/21. Got confirmation that it was shipped on 4/19 with target of 4/21. On 4/21, got confirmation from UPS that item was delivered, but in the details it was delivered to another state. That same day, I got an email from Sales at High Decibels that my order was being processed and shipped. I emailed them and asked to have the shipping fees waived since it was not being delivered as promised, and never received any type of response or a refund for shipping. Nice service...NOT."

"i would just like to start off saying that if i were to read any of these reviews before i made my first purchase i probably would of not of made it. i did my first purchase on thanksgiving day of November 25th 2010 witch was a Thursday, i automatically received an e mail stating that my order has been received and that they usually ship within 24 to 48 hrs unless its a special order item. i bought a pioneer cdj 850 player witch in stores and basically anywhere else sells for 899+tax, and they had it for 770 and that's including shipping, now don't get me wrong i was a little skeptical about dropping that kind of money on a website that doesn't even have a phone number, and i also read some negative reviews but in the end i decided to go for it anyways. i waited until the following Monday and i didn't receive no e mail and no tracking information so i decided to wait until Tuesday to write an e mail asking what the status of my order was, i immediately received an e mail back stating that the product was in stock and again that they ship it between 24 to 48 hours, at this point i was a little nervous because i already knew their shipping procedure from the first e mail and 48 hours already passed and i still didn't receive any tracking info, so again i waited until Wednesday and sent them another e mail addressing my concern and they assured me that because of the holidays that they usually get kinda stumped with orders and it takes them a little time to get things out on time, the following day i received the e mail with tracking info and the product arrived from FedEx on Saturday morning. two months later i decide to make another purchase and i buy a pair of headphones on Monday Jan 24 and again get the automatic e mail about shipping and i wait 48 hrs and send them a e mail again addressing my concern and this time i didn't receive anything back so again i was a little worried, but before you know it Friday comes around and the product was at my door step. im really happy with this website and their prices i would absolutely have no problem buying from them again, i believe that since its a small business it could get overwhelming with orders pouring in and not enough people to fill them but in the end you get what you ordered brand new and factory sealed, and in my case FAST."

"Facts:
Purchased item on 1/17/11. Paid using PayPal. Four days later hadn't heard anything and PayPal transaction was "pending." Asked merchant to cancel order. One week after purchase, received email from merchant that order was cancelled.

My guess would be that they allow a customer to place an order and then they scramble to fill the order. If they can't get it (for a price that they sold it at), they cancel the order.

UPDATE: HighDecibels just managed to dig a hole deeper. They've sent out an VERY long email to a number of customers saying that it was PayPal's fault that they couldn't contact customers and that it was their hosting site's fault that emails about order cancellations didn't go out. Wow. The point is that customers are able to order products that are not in stock only to have to wait to get their money back through PayPal. I've been ordering a long time on the Internet, I've never seen such an unprofessional and awkward attempt to pass the buck.

BOTTOM LINE: This merchant is imploding. Take your business elsewhere.

"Well finally got my quick shoe for a Vangaurd tripod. It seems that there was a 'supplier issue' for High Decibels. They we very expedient in resolving the issue once it was figured out.
They also compensated me for the delay which was very much unexpected but greatly appreciated.

"Ordered an item 4 days ago. When I chatted with customer service they said the item would be direct shipped from amnufacturer and there would be no issues. Expected an email with shipping information, but after 4 days I wrote back to check. It was only then that they informed me that my order was canceled because the manufacturer does not drop shipped. Would have thought that they should have checked this when I asked instead of leading me on for 4 days!"
