"I recently had a very disappointing experience with Heartland Veterinary Supply & Pharmacy that dispensed a prescription dog food that was later recalled. Not only did they fail to notify me of the recall, but my dog suffered greatly as a result.
My dog had been doing well on the prescription dog food for some time, but after a new bag was purchased from the veterinarian pharmacy, my dog began experiencing severe health problems. We had to take him to the vet for blood tests, pain relief, and treatment of his symptoms. We were even considering putting him down due to the severity of his condition.
It wasn't until I attempted to reorder the dog food and discovered it was temporarily unavailable that I learned it had been recalled. I was extremely upset to think that my dog's health had been put in danger due to the veterinarian pharmacy's failure to notify me of the recall.
As a result of this experience, I cannot recommend this veterinarian pharmacy to anyone. It is the responsibility of the pharmacy to notify their customers of recalls, especially when it comes to prescription dog food that can have a significant impact on an animal's health. This lack of responsibility is unacceptable, and it resulted in a great deal of pain and suffering for my dog and unnecessary expenses for me.
I hope that this review will serve as a warning to other pet owners who are considering using this veterinarian pharmacy. It is important to do your research and choose a pharmacy that prioritizes the health and safety of its animal patients."
