"I first saw the commercial, saying if you had debt over 16,000. You should listen to this. Apparently it could be reduced to about half, depending how long you had been paying approximately $100 a month, and seeing no change in the total amount owed. All I had to do was capture the QR code on my phone, which was old and didn't have the capability. (I've since got a new one, and am more relative now..ha! ) But it gave you a website that did essentially the same thing. I logged on, and began my journey to debt freedom.
I talked with a nice man, who explained the difference between a Consumer Proposal and Bankruptcy. Basically a bankruptcy remains on your personal record, and may be a problem when you want something on credit. A Consumer Proposal is (from what I know). You nogotiate with your creditors (in this case the bank) BTW: the nogotiating is done by H&P. You nogotiate down to a price that is comfortable to you. (A comfortable rate where you can pay all your bills, pay off your debt, save a little money if you can and have some left over. At all times H&P are with you, all the way. Helping you if you are experiencing, financial problems, or just problems period.
I don't know why this is not a more popular way to go about paying off a debt.
