"Had issues with ordering online and gave a 2 star review.. was contacted within 30 minutes from a Jim, saying he is the ceo.. didn't care about the issue.. just wanted me to change it to 5 star... after I refused he wanted to just agree to cancel order.. I said no.. but he did it anyway.. there is something wrong with this person.. dont know why a business would treat a consumer this way.. I have all the emails to show the conversation. Greg n"

"Called them for help and they recommended product (on weekend after hours) and i received the product in a very short time considering they shipped it to FL from CA. I give these guys five stars based on technical assistance, product quality and ship time. All three got 5 starts."

"I would recommend that noone do business with this company. I ordered three HDMI to Cat5 converters. The specifications listed in the manual were inferior to the specifications posted on their website. I was deceived into beleiving this was a high performance product and it is not. i left several messages with the company with no return call. The only line they will answer is the new sales line. The sales rep will tell you they will not help you with a return, you have to call someone else. I did this and no return call. They are very rude on the phone. Furthermore, I found the same product on a different site for half the price HDTV charges."

"Tried to exchange/upgrade a DirecTV receiver. I was willing to pay the shipping and any difference in price also. Called them and found out that a man named Kent was the one to talk to about returns. So I called the number that I was given ***-***-****) and left a message on his voicemail.

He never returned my call. I called back, he never replied. Called their customer service number, was told that Kent was on vacation and would be back in a week, was given the RMA email address, so I sent an email on July 22nd asking for an exchange.

Nothing.

A week later, I called Kent again thinking he'd be back from vacation. Got his voicemail, left a message, and nothing. No response of any kind at all.

Do NOT do business with these people. I've never seen customer "service" like this in my life.

"This review was originally written Oct 21st, 2009. Please pay attention to the addition that I added at the bottom on Oct 27th, 2009 it may save you lots of headaches.

Placed order on a Sunday Oct 18th for an Item I had researched for weeks. I needed this item for an install on Oct 22. The item was in stock on the website and I choose a 2 day Air delivery so that the item would ship on Monday arrive on Wednesday for installation on Thursday. Makes sense doesn't it? That's the way we all do business right?

Got an email dated Oct 20th at 12:45 pm saying the order had just been shipped. I did not read the email until 9am on the 21st I checked UPS and saw the tracking number but the only thing UPS site said was that at 6:30 pm on the 20th that they received billing information and I did not see that it had been picked up or that it was in route anywhere.

I placed a phone call to the 800# for them and left a message to be called ASAP. I then went to the website and put in a trouble ticket with the same request to talk to manager, owner or president. Around 11:30am I get a return email asking me what the problem is? So I call the 800 # again and now it's disconnected? Leads me to now be really scared of this company. So I call the regular number. The phone is answered by a gentleman and I ask for owner or manager. His response is well you have to go thru me first. so I explain everything and he says "well I'm sorry but yes we screwed up on your order". I ask him what's he gonna do? And he's not gonna do anything but say he's sorry. So I ask for the owner again.... This time he says "well that's me". Why did you lie to me up front?

These guys did nothing to fix the problem, did nothing to offer me compensation for their mistake and flat out said just return it and we'll refund all your money. Not gonna cover the extra expenses to locate another one and have it shipped, not gonna cover loss of income due to their mistake and not willing to at least cover the shipping charges for the 2 day air when it's not gonna make it in time.

I would NEVER do business with a company like this again!

ADDED 27 OCT 20009

On Monday the 26th of Oct I received a letter from a collection agency claiming that I now was in default of a $25,000.00 bill from HDTV Supply. This was the first time I've done business with this company and I bought and paid for the item on-line with AMEX. So, I called the company and was told by the owner that he was thinking of suing me and that he had started a campaign against me. To stop it I would need to remove these reviews of his company. I am now in LEGAL PURGATORY trying to get them to arrest this guy for extortion and mail fraud and anything else they can come up with. Also trying to stop him from ruining my credit and my good name with his bully techniques.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I wanted to respond since I was just reminded of the incident by the companies BBB response over one year later.

1. They didn't read the 4 emails we sent them. Nope read each of them. The 2nd told me it shipped correctly the 3rd told me it shipped wrong and the 4th did not eve answer the question I asked.

2. They didn't return 2 tel calls.
Nope they NEVER called to figure this out.

3. We offered to have them refuse delivery, return money and they said no.
Nope how could I do this. I was not even going to be there when the item was delivered.

4. We offered to give money back if they send it back but they refused,
Yep they sure did but did not offer to cover shipping charges in either direction.

5. They accepted the unit and their customer was happy.
Nope I had to buy something else at 5 times the cost, install it and the other unit sits in my garage unused!

6. The person we finally talked to was very violent and threatened our company and employees with harm so be careful if you ever do business with BigRockStudio in GA.

"Overall a decent selection of items and one of the select few places that offer Rapid Run components at reduced cost. Placed the order on 12/30/2008 and specified UPS Next Day Air to get it by Friday 01/02/2009. I spoke with a representative to ensure that this was possible and he confirmed that I would defintely have the items. I needed these fast to help finish a wiring project for my father-in-law.

Finally received a shipping confirmation and tracking number mid-day 01/01/2009. Saw that the estimated delivery date was 01/05/2009. Emailed the company and was surprised to receive a response on a holiday. HDTV staff said that UPS wasn't working on Friday (01/02/2009). Confirmed with UPS rep and on their website that regular pickup and delivery schedules were in affect.

After a few email exchanges (while the vendor was closed for the holiday), there appears to have been incorrect information posted on the UPS site. The package was delivered on-time this morning for me to complete everything for my father-in-law.

I really must commend the staff at HDTV Supply for responding to my emails over the holiday. My only issue with them is that they relayed incorrect information about UPS operating schedules.

"Very Bad Service.
After placing an order online i got an email with notice "order on hold" and call them. I called them and they said "something wrong with your order, fix it". Un-helpfull and un-pleasant. I declined to continue with the order. Next day they charged my credit card anyway, inspite of the fact they said they could not day before. Once I complained they agreed to credit back but in a few days. If you like this kind of service, this is the place for you.
