It wasn't me..
Someone used my email address to illegally purchase the phone.
Upon reviewing the purchase I noticed that the scammer used one of my long ago expired cards.
How is this possible?
I surmise the store was in cahoots with the scammer..
Authorities have been called in.
I would never provide credit card info to this seller as clearly they are overly relaxed about security.

The company refuses to replace or refund and they are still selling these tablets. Description states:" Tablet is in great condition 100% fully functional and has minor signs of use. If this were true the tablet would be working now.
This is the reply I got: ”My customer service representatives have informed me that you are having some difficulty with the Sony Tablet you purchased from us. I can absolutely understand your frustration, however we do not offer any extended warranties on these items. We will always honor eBay's 30 day return/exchange policy, however the date of your purchase was January 3rd, 2016, and we are well beyond the 30-day window now. There would be nothing we could offer as a solution for you at this time since we do not sell batteries or replacement parts for these devices.
My only suggestion would be for you to contact a local electronics repair shop to have the device properly diagnosed and repaired.

"Unsatisfied with this company. I bought a cell phone from them which appears to work but they sent a bad battery. I can charge the battery all night and it lasts about 20 minutes before it is dead and needs to be recharged. I have emailed several times but have gotten no response from them. Also tried to call but they do not pick up. All I want is a new battery!!!"
"Horrible Company to deal with. I received my phone in the mail and it worked fine until I had to charge the battery. This is when I realized that the charging port was completely %$%#@. It looks like a small child discovered a fork for the first time and figured it was for wrecking cell phones. Obviously no one checked this VITAL component for a cell phone. The headphone jack doesn't work either. The worst part is that I have been calling this company for 2 hours now and haven't gotten a single answer. "Horrible experience. My worst eBay transaction of all time. They did not make clear on their listing that they require a signature for UPS deliveries but not by US Post. I shipped by US Post because it would be a two day delivery to my city anyway.
I was at home when my package was delivered and the postal carrier did not ring the bell. It was stolen within an hour. Despite their 100% satisfaction claim Guarantee Cellular did not care that their package did not reach their customer. Customer service blamed me for not shipping by UPS. Well, I would have shipped via UPS if the seller had honestly indicated that they provide signature protection for one service and not the other."
