The web site invites customers to call in & that they have "Friendly Customer Service." I wouldn't know - I have no experience at all with their customer service staff, so I just cannot say.
Free shipping is not helpful if you can't tell if items have been shipped or not & there's no tracking information available."
"Products and prices are great. Free shipping is VERY slow.
I placed an order for a bike light using one of their online coupons, and it arrived in about 12 days -- as advertised with their free shipping and a GREAT price. Later on September 30th I ordered a chain and some cogs, again taking advantage of a coupon and free shipping. Sent an email the second week in October since the order status had not been updated. No response. On October 18th after I still had not received the items, I placed a call. First time was no answer: leave a message. Second time later in the day someone answered. She confirmed my order would ship out Thursday. I asked why the delay? Apparently they were taken off guard by the success of the website. My order will ship priority mail since it's WAY late. A reasonable gesture considering the significant delay.
You really can't beat the prices, and my hope is that they'll get this Internet fulfillment thing figured out and be more responsive in the future. They answered the phone, they shipped the items I ordered. I give them a passing grade, but just be aware of the potential for delays in shipping until they get their logistics figured out."
"On 9/23/11 I ordered two bicycle inner tubes and a multi-hex wrench. I chose free shipping realizing that the item would be delivered in 4 to 12 calendar days, according to the information stated on the Green Tire Bike Shop web site. On the 10th day I e-mailed Green Tire Bike Shop as to the status of the order. No reply. I contacted them on the 12th day through the resolution process of Paypal. I merely wanted some type of information regarding my order. Today I received a notification from Paypal that Green Tire Bike Shop had refunded my payment.
I wish I had read the reviews at Mountain Bike Review before placing my order!
