"I tried GreenCine after being a Netflix customer for over a year. Supposedly, GreenCine offers more rare titles and more anime than any other online DVD rental. However, the wait is often long, if they have the title at all. Their anime selection is quite slim and even the most popular series are often incomplete. Most of their Adult titles are only available for purchase or online viewing.
Their website is very slow and not as user friendly as, say, Netflix. It doesn't offer recommendations and it is not easy at all to find related films."

Their selection of movies was great, but they excelled in independent and lesser-known titles.
The site also has something Netflix, blockbuster or wal mart lack. A sense of community. You can go talk with their many other users on their forums.
Their recommendation system was good, though I thought could use a little work. Better than nothing though, It did help me find a few gems.
Also, users could make their own lists of movies. For example, if you wanted to make a list of good zombie movies, you could and it would be available for all to see.
On the down side, though Greencine has a good selection, whether or not what you want is actually in stock is another matter entirely. You're going to have to find a whole lot movies for your queue because a good amount of them probably won't be in stock.
Also, shipping takes awhile if you don't live particularly close to California (and me being in New Hampshire, it doesn't get much farther).
Overall though, I was happy with my service at Greencine and may Re-join in the future."
