"I ordered a 9to5 Strata model 1585 office chair on 1/13/16. After not getting any kind of shipping confirmation 3 weeks later, I called to see what was going on. They said this item had to be made by the manufacturer and then shipped to them...they would let me know when it arrived at their facility to be shipped out. Another 2 weeks go by and nothing...so I check on it again. This time they say they are going to call the warehouse and check on it and will call back (which to their credit they did). When they called back they informed me that they were sorry but the item I ordered had been discontinued but they would refund my money (I would hope so!). No issue, this stuff happens. However, I called the manufacturer direct to see what type of chairs were still being manufactured so I could place another order without this happening again. What I found out was 1) the chair I ordered is their top selling model so they by no means have discontinued it; and 2) Gorilla Office Supplies is not an approved seller of 9to5 chairs. Apparently they do not allow their chairs to be sold online. Considering when you Google 9to5 Strata the first several shopping hits are from Gorilla Office Supplies, they must've found a way to skirt around that fact...or did they? When I went back to check again, suddenly all of the models are say "Product not found" when clicked on. Weird. Just upset I wasted 5 weeks of my time waiting around for a phantom chair to show up. Let's hope they refund my money promptly.
Update - 2/16/16: After writing the above review I was contacted by Sam, the owner of Gorilla Office Supplies. Sam informed me that there was a misunderstanding amongst his staff (see Sam's reply). Understood, misunderstandings happen. After the mistake was caught my chair arrived the very next day. I can tell this is a company that prides itself on it's customer service, and though mistakes occur, are willing to do what it takes to make amends. There's plenty of companies out there that wouldn't go through the trouble regardless."
