"They high pressured me to buy anti-virus/malware for my computer then called back 6 weeks later saying they wanted my microsoft licesnse because they were going out of business and wanted to give me a refund for 299.99. I said just put it back on my credit card but they refused insisting they needed to confirm my license. I hung up and he called back. I asked who their owner was and they said Bob Smith. Too scary so I told them I would call back after googling their company about scams and so here I am.

Now I'm looking at two weeks into classes before I get the thing. Doing calculus sucks without a graphing calculator. I am seriously unhappy with this bait and switch crap. How hard is it to tell me at time of order that you're out of stock? Not hard, I'd guess, but also not as profitable. Screw these guys."
"This week I ordered two Microsoft Office licenses for my church. I emailed Genesis Technologies several times with questions before placing the order. In every case they got back to me within 24 hours. Their responses were thoughtfully written - it was clear that they had actually read my questions.
I placed the order Tuesday night and emailed my supporting documentation. Genesis Technologies sent my information to Microsoft very quickly, and Microsoft sent me the Volume Licensing link Friday afternoon. Thanks, Genesis Technologies, for great service!!!"
"Genesis offered to lower my shipping to $6.95 ("his manager approved it") and would send me an invoice via PayPal or get my credit card number over the phone, but I had the foresight to let them know I am using the coupon code for 5% off that is on the front page banner of their site and of course, then they said they cannot do that after all. Obviously, shipping is not really shipping but their profit is built into the shipping charges based on the price they offer the product for (also evidenced from their sales through eBay, where shipping is also a different price). Maybe this is standard procedure everywhere and I'm just naive. But I kept getting passed around to different customer service people through their online chat so their service is nothing I'd consider stellar."
